The U.S. leads the world in geothermal power generation, yet this accounts for less than 1% of the country's total power production. Amidst the intensifying effects of climate change, states like California and Nevada have pledged to get 100% of their power from renewable energy by 2045 and 2050 respectively.
Baseload Power U.S. aims to play an important part in meeting these goals. By building small-scale, zero-emissions binary power plants fueled by geothermal fluids, we have an incredible opportunity to develop this massive yet untapped renewable energy source.
So far we have one plant in operation and a second one on the way. We also have several land leases in Nevada, where we are actively are looking for new opportunities. In addition, we have signed a LOI to develop a pilot project together with Chevron Technology Ventures to advance lower-carbon energy production in the Oil and Gas industry.
