The Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 Mid ‘Sheed’ is a pretty weird sneaker – and that's why we love it so much. The follow-up to the ‘Pine Green’ that dropped earlier this season, this pair is inspired by NBA legend Rasheed “Sheed” Wallace. Or more specifically, an Air Force 1 that was made exclusively for him back in 2001.

Unlike the late Virgil Abloh's other Nike shoes, the ‘Sheed’ is the first pair ever to feature an all-black patent leather construction, just like Wallace's OG AF1 from ‘01. A stitched-on Swoosh shoots across the lateral and medial sidewalls, and this comes with two sets of laces to fall in line with Off-White’s world-renowned deconstructed aesthetic.

A Velcro-fastened strap wraps around the ankle, complete with Sheed's jersey number, and his silhouette is stitched around the heel in a contrasting shade of white. Of course, you can't even begin to talk about this trainer without mentioning the midsole underfoot. Redesigned from the ground up, this unit features a wavy design and is equipped with a series of rubber spikes underneath. This is finished off the signature Off-White zip tie, and comes packed in a special brick wall-like box.

Since 2017, Off-White and Nike have been working together on some of the most hyped trainers of all-time. Abloh's original “The Ten” was something of a cultural reset for the sneakerverse, and while the legendary designer is sadly no longer with us, his wife, Shannon, recently told New York Times that there's still a year's worth of his designs that we still have yet to see.
