Fans of four-time Mr Olympia Jay Cutler roasted the "depressed" bodybuilder for looking and sounding far from impressed with his "breakfast of champions"

The bodybuilding icon has started a 12-week body transformation programme to get in the best shape he can be at his age, ahead of his 50th birthday on August 3.

However, when Cutler shared his eating regime on Instagram, fans were quick to spot that the three-time Arnold Classic champion. didn't seem all that enthusiastic about what lay ahead.

“What’s your ‘Breakfast of Champions’?” the 49-year-old asked his 4.9 million Instagram followers, before listing all the elements of his power breakfast which helped him to lift the Olympia title multiple times.

In the video, Cutler listed his own breakfast as consisting of "100 carbs Ezekiel cereal, 60 carbs of bread, 15 egg whites, one whole egg, and three pieces of turkey bacon."

However, while some fans answered his question, many noticed how Cutler didn’t seem too excited with his meal.

“You definitely didn’t seem too excited lol!” wrote one fan.

“He looks absolutely depressed, having to eat all that,” wrote a second.

“Definitely didn’t enjoy this by that tone,” said a third.

However, others empathised with Cutler, as one fan said: " Was eating 6000+ calories a day. I got to the point that I hated eating. Not hungry but it’s time. Not hungry but it’s time."

Another added: "I remember trying to eat your diet to get bigger at age 24. It was impossible."

As he took to the stage, Cutler drove the crowd wild and secured his third Mr Olympia title after stomping his foot to the ground and tensing his bulging quad muscles.
