These little guys are fantastic. They vibrate like crazy.

As soon as I got them, I just put 5V through one. It only drew about 100mA and was incredibly potent.

I bought these for fun...and now I will probably need more because I'm totally goofing with them and making 'gifts' for friends.

These worked great for our bristle bots we assembled in Cloverbuds!

OK, to start with the most useful information: if you find that some of these are stuck, try swiping a strong magnet across them. Almost all of mine worked once I did that. I'm guessing these have been in a warehouse for a long time, and the lubricant inside has gotten a little gummy. I also found that tapping on a table works, although I had to be a little more vigorous that way. The magnet method was one-and-done.

So first off, QA. It's not great, but it's better than I expected. Out of twenty, I had one that straight up didn't work, and was able to get all of the others working. Five or six had to have the magnet trick, but worked fine after.

The speed is pretty inconsistent from one motor to the next. I'll probably sit down and divide them into a "fast" and "slow" bucket. About four of them are in the "fast" category. The slower ones are still plenty usable, but if you're using several on the same project, you might want them to be consistent.

The wires are extremely flimsy, so whatever you use these for, you're going to want to make sure you're not putting any strain there.

I know this review sounds like all negatives, but these are 60 cents apiece. I was expecting three or four to be duds at that price.

If you need a super strong, consistent vibration motor, this isn't what you want. If you want something cheap and tiny to provide some crude haptic feedback, these seem totally fine.

They work like they are intented to!
I made a project with arduino + vibration + UDP broadcast to make a vibration bracelet to give anonymous feedback to deaf actors during a theatre show.
No problems. Easy. The vibration strentgh do depend on the voltage. I have tried 3,3v - 12v. Good!

Bought for a cub scout stem project. We used the motors to make bristle bots at a pack meeting. Great value for the money, our whole pack was able to make them

5.0 out of 5 stars Not what I was looking for

These are not the motors needed for the bristlebot STEM activity with elementary school students lol (using a 3V battery). They don’t vibrate enough to cause movement that is interesting/exciting. Good product overall I guess, but I wanted to warn other teachers who might make the same mistake.
