This Porsche 964 911 (Non-Turbo) got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1991 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 coupe was modified by Singer Vehicle Design between August 2018 and August 2020 and was purchased by the seller through Singer after the commissioning customer was unable to take delivery. Finished in Fiona Metallic over a custom Blue Charcoal leather interior, the “Gratitude Commission” is powered by an air-cooled flat-six that was rebuilt by Ed Pink Racing Engines to a displacement of 4.0 liters and drives all four wheels via a six-speed manual transaxle. Additional features include carbon-fiber body panels, individual throttle bodies, a ceramic-coated intake plenum, a titanium high-flow exhaust system, adjustable Öhlins coilovers, carbon-ceramic brakes with body-color calipers, two sets of staggered-width 17” Fuchs-style wheels, carbon-fiber seat shells wrapped in houndstooth leather-weave upholstery with nickel grommets, roll and harness bars, and a Porsche Classic radio with navigation. This Singer-modified 964 is now offered with a Singer build sheet, a matching leather luggage case, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

Based in Los Angeles, Singer Vehicle Design was founded in 2009 by former Catherine Wheel frontman Rob Dickinson and has since specialized in performance-based customizations of 964-series 911s. Each car is stripped to its steel unibody, which receives welding reinforcements before being fitted with carbon-fiber panels including the fenders, bumpers, front hood, and rear decklid. A carbon-fiber roof is also fitted to coupes that are not equipped with a sunroof, such as this example. The front spoiler, lower rear valance, and lower rocker panels are composed of black textured urethane.

This example is finished in Fiona Metallic with Dark Ivory side stripes and “Porsche” lettering on the sides and decklid. Exterior options include body-color bumperettes, an external fuel filler cap centered in the front hood, an external oil filler cap, a decklid-mounted nickel Singer badge atop Dark Ivory “reimagined” lettering, rear reflectors, and clear protective film over the full body. Additional Singer touches include a retractable rear spoiler with a tinted acrylic screen beneath the grille, bi-xenon headlights, polycarbonate front lenses, and nickel-plated brightwork.

The Fuchs-style 17” forged aluminum wheels with body-color centers shown above are secured by open lugnuts and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires measuring 225/45 up front and 265/40 at the rear. An additional included set of Fuchs-style wheels with satin-finish centers is shown fitted to the car in photos above and in the photo gallery below. Braking is handled by carbon-ceramic cross-drilled and ventilated discs and blue-painted Brembo four-piston calipers. The optional sport suspension features Öhlins adjustable dampers all around.

The cabin is trimmed in Blue Charcoal leather with houndstooth-pattern leather-weave and ivory-color stripes on the surfaces of the carbon-fiber sport seats as well as the door panels, rear side panels, and rear bulkhead. Options include a padded roll bar trimmed in blue leather with Alabaster stitching, a harness bar in place of deleted rear seatbacks, piano black front seatbacks, nickel seat ventilation grommets, leather and rubber floor mats, drilled footboards and pedals, a nickel Singer dash badge, and blue quilted leather front-compartment trim with Alabaster stitching. Amenities include air conditioning and an upgraded sound system with a Porsche Classic navigation radio and a subwoofer mounted in the left-rear seat position.

The MOMO Prototipo steering wheel is trimmed in blue leather with Alabaster stitching and sits ahead of early-911-style instrumentation including an 11k-rpm tachometer, a 190-mph speedometer, and green-letter auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 500 miles since the completion of the Singer build. Total chassis mileage is unknown.

The air-cooled, naturally aspirated flat-six was rebuilt to a displacement of 4.0 liters by Ed Pink Racing Engines in Los Angeles and was rated by Singer at 390 horsepower and 315 lb-ft of torque. Custom components are said to include the crankshaft, pistons, cylinders, connecting rods, camshafts, cylinder heads, oil pump, and intake system, the latter of which features a ceramic-coated plenum atop individual throttle bodies. Engine management is via an updated MoTeC system and a custom wiring harness. Engine case stamp *62M02863* is shown in the gallery below.

Power is directed to all four wheels via a close-ratio Getrag six-speed manual transaxle with a limited-slip differential. The exhaust system features ceramic-coated headers and heat exchangers leading to titanium mufflers with dual central exhaust tips.

The Carfax report is free of accidents or other issues and lists history since 1996 with a most-recent mileage entry of 137k miles in 2014.
