INTRASITE <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>formable</str<strong>on</strong>g> combines <strong>the</strong> advantages of INTRASITE Gel with a<br />
n<strong>on</strong>-woven substrate to facilitate <strong>the</strong> gentle packing of open wounds.<br />
Advantages<br />
Debriding and Desloughing Acti<strong>on</strong><br />
INTRASITE <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>formable</str<strong>on</strong>g> has a gentle yet effective debriding and desloughing<br />
acti<strong>on</strong>, by re-hydrating necrotic tissue and absorbing slough. The dressing<br />
will also absorb excess exudate.<br />
<str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>formable</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
The dressing will c<strong>on</strong>form easily to awkward wound shapes. It facilitates <strong>the</strong><br />
gentle packing of deep wounds allowing <strong>the</strong>m to heal from <strong>the</strong> base, and<br />
provides a physical barrier to prevent premature wound closure.<br />
Moist Wound Healing Envri<strong>on</strong>ment<br />
INTRASITE <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>formable</str<strong>on</strong>g> maintains a moist envir<strong>on</strong>ment <strong>on</strong> <strong>the</strong> wound<br />
surface, preventing adherence and allowing easy dressing changes, without<br />
damaging fragile new tissue.<br />
Indicati<strong>on</strong>s<br />
INTRASITE <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>formable</str<strong>on</strong>g> is indicated for use in open wounds e.g. pressure<br />
sores, surgical wounds healing by sec<strong>on</strong>dary intenti<strong>on</strong>, malignant wounds,<br />
shallow wounds, excoriated skin and radiati<strong>on</strong> burns.<br />
Instructi<strong>on</strong>s<br />
1. Peel open <strong>the</strong> pack.<br />
2. Remove <strong>the</strong> dressing completely and unfold if required.<br />
3. Apply <strong>the</strong> dressing to loosely fill or cover <strong>the</strong> wound depending <strong>on</strong><br />
wound type.<br />
4. Cover with a sec<strong>on</strong>dary dressing eg, film dressing (OPSITE FLEXIGRID)<br />
or absorbent dressing (ALLEVYN).<br />
5. To change <strong>the</strong> dressing, simply remove gently with forceps and irrigate<br />
<strong>the</strong> wound with sterile saline. Ensure that all dressings are removed. It is<br />
recommended <strong>the</strong> dressing is changed at least every three days.<br />
Precati<strong>on</strong>s for use<br />
Avoid use <strong>on</strong> patients with a known sensitivity to INTRASITE <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>formable</str<strong>on</strong>g><br />
or any of its ingredients. Avoid ingesti<strong>on</strong>. Avoid use <strong>on</strong> cracked nipples.<br />
INTRASITE <str<strong>on</strong>g>C<strong>on</strong>formable</str<strong>on</strong>g> dressing should be used with care in <strong>the</strong> vicinity of<br />
<strong>the</strong> eyes.<br />
