Guidelines<br />
OVERVIEW<br />
Poster sessions are designed to give presenters an opportunity to discuss in<strong>for</strong>mally their<br />
research with colleagues interested in their research. The purpose of the posters is to visually<br />
stimulate interest in the research, to present sufficient in<strong>for</strong>mation <strong>for</strong> viewers to understand the<br />
methods, results, and significance of the research, and to promote conversations and networking<br />
among conference participants.<br />
POSTER SESSION SCHEDULE<br />
Posters will be displayed in the <strong>Bordeaux</strong> Conference Center Espace Pluriel. Each<br />
session is <strong>for</strong> one day; Session A – Monday, 23 August; Session B – Tuesday, 24 August;<br />
and Session C-Wednesday, 25 August.<br />
SET UP: 07:00 to 08:00<br />
All posters must be up by 08:00.<br />
OPEN: Espace Pluriel will be open: 08:00 to 17:00.<br />
DISCUSSION TIME:<br />
Presenters should be by posters between 12:00 and 13:30.<br />
EuroDURG, the European Drug Utilization Research Group, invites all poster presenters displaying<br />
their posters on Tuesday, August 24 (Session B), to participate in the EuroDURG Poster Walk.<br />
EuroDURG will offer presenters the opportunity to present their work and to discus their results<br />
with an audience. Presenters shoud be at their posters between 12:15 and 13:15. When the<br />
poster walk chair and audience stops at your poster, please give a brief, 3-minutes, presentation<br />
and to answer questions about your research. EuroDURG will grant a ‘Best Poster Award’, offering<br />
the winner free registration <strong>for</strong> the UK-EuroDURG meeting in Northern Ireland in 2005. All<br />
meeting participants are invited to join in the walk.<br />
TAKE DOWN: All posters must be taken down by 18:45 on Monday & Tuesday, and by 17:30 on<br />
Wednesday. NOTE: Neither <strong>ISPE</strong> or the <strong>Bordeaux</strong> Conference Center will be responsible <strong>for</strong> any<br />
poster that is left up overnight or is lost or damaged.<br />
NUMBERING SYSTEM<br />
Each poster board will be numbered. The poster number is the first number listed in the<br />
final program. Presenters should attach their posters to the board number corresponding<br />
to the number assigned to their poster in the final program, which will be available at the<br />
registration desk. The abstract number, <strong>for</strong> use in locating abstracts in the final program<br />
and the special issue of Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, is in brackets [xxx]<br />
after the title of the abstract.<br />
POSTER SPECIFICATIONS<br />
1. Posters must be designed to fit a freestanding poster board 0,93 meters wide by 1,63 meters<br />
high (approximately 3’1”wide by 5’4” high). This board will be the only support device<br />
available. Business cards or small leaflet literature <strong>for</strong> distribution may be inserted in an<br />
envelope and affixed to the board. Poster orientation: Portrait<br />
2. Posters may be attached to the boards by pushpins or Velcro. Please bring your own mounting<br />
supplies.<br />
