$1M winning Powerball ticket sold in Howard County

The other eight $1 million tickets were sold in California, Massachusetts, Georgia, New Jersey, South Carolina, and Washington.

JESSUP, Md. — There is no jackpot winner for Wednesday night's Powerball drawing, but there were some $1 million ticket winners, and one was bought right in Howard County.

The winning ticket was sold at Royal Farms #230 located at 7136 Montevideo Road in Jessup, making it the fifth $1 million winning Powerball ticket sold in the state during the current jackpot roll The ticket is also one of nine big winner across the country for the April 3 drawing.

The winning ticket matched the first five numbers in the drawing which were 11, 38, 41, 62, and 65, but the Powerball number, which was 15, did not match.

Lottery officials say that during the current jackpot roll, which began on Jan. 2, 2024, Powerball players in Maryland have won more than $11.4 million in prizes.

And that will only increase as the next Powerball drawing being Saturday night and it has an estimated value of $1.23 billion, with an estimated cash option of $595.1 million. This would be the fourth largest in the history of the Powerball and the eighth largest in U.S. lottery history.
