Pulling an all-nighter might seem like a good idea at the time, but the effects can be more surprising than you think. First of all, if you’re not getting enough sleep, you’re going to be tired, right? You’ll probably wake up the next day feeling very groggy and wanting to take naps all day. Your productivity will definitely take a hit the day after an all-nighter. Additionally, your cognition will be decreased. This means your ability to be creative and productive is going to be much more diminished if you haven’t slept the night before. And here’s a surprising one – #3: You have an increased risk of getting colds and flus. Your immune system’s effectiveness goes way down if you don’t get a good night’s sleep. All of your healing, repair, restoration, and resetting of your immune system happens during a good night’s sleep. So, don’t pull an all-nighter. I frankly don’t function well after one and have never done it. But seriously, don’t do it. The consequences can be dire. #SleepWell #HealthyLiving #NoAllNighters #WellnessTips #StayHealthy #ProductivityTips #GoodSleep #ImmuneSystemBoost #drhirshorn #drelliothirshorn
