CloseRudbeckia is one of those universally recognized flowers with its sunny yellow daisy-like petals and dark eye, commonly known as Black-eyed Susan. 'Goldsturm' is a fairly compact variety, growing upright to two to three feet tall and sturdy enough to stand on its own. Rudbeckia produce the most blooms in full sun, and the more you pick, the more flowers will emerge, from mid-summer right into the fall. Bees and butterflies love this drought-tolerant perennial, and deer and rabbit tend to leave it alone.
