Spare Change Speech: Giving Instructions Board Game

On a budget? My Spare Change Speech products will save you money and give you great products for minimal cost! Giving Instructions Board Game is an easy to play game that gives students a chance to practice sequencing and thinking about how things are done, step by step.

Print and laminate the game board for durability. I like to print the game at poster size so a small group of students can play the game. Cut out the counters and the spinner. Attach the arrow with a split pin to the circle to make a spinner.

Players take turns to spin and move the number of spaces on the spinner. When they land on a space they need to describe step by step how to complete the activity on the space. Students should be encouraged to think about how to do the activity and how they would instruct someone to do it if they didn’t know how to do it. There are 4 visuals to prompt students with words such as first, next, then and last. There are a few short cuts and other features to make the game fun! The winner is the player who reaches the finish first!
