Syracuse, N.Y. — In the bottom of the eighth, with a runner in scoring position and one out on the board, J.D. Martinez came up to bat.
After getting himself in trouble with two strikes, the former American League leader in RBIs did what he does best and brought the runner home on a single to center field.
