Alan F It was a very good low budget show. It's a shame it fell victim to a streaming start-up's sudden closure. Still worth seeing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/05/23 Full Review Audience Member The series is surprisingly funny. Every detail of the characters comes together and makes a good mix. It's gold and I'm glad I found it. Too bad, they didn't renew for season 2. But the ending is somewhat enough for that season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I love this show! Looking forward to seeing season 2! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic writing! Hilarious! Wish there were subsequent seasons. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I can't believe this show was released years go. I never even heard of its existence until I came across it on the NBC app. Great premise, well cast, smart, funny...both writing and acting. I can't understand why they never made a second season. Perhaps it would have done better on a network with a more honed audience like HBO. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member This show is addicting! Witty, smart, edgy and heartwarming. Looking forward to the next season. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times There is some heavy darkness here, to be sure, but the movement overall is toward the light - "Shrink" has heart, without getting sentimental - and, as do many smart comedies nowadays, it hangs together like an extended indie film. Mar 16, 2017 Full Review Jenny Nixon Common Sense Media Chicago improv veteran Tim Baltz (The Righteous Gemstones) charms as the titular therapist-in-training, an endearingly hapless underdog you just want to root for despite being massively out of his depths.
