joe s This movie was trying so hard to be "deep" and profound, but instead ended up a pseudo-intellectual, convoluted, nonsensical mess. If only that guy had pulled the trigger quicker in the beginning, maybe we would have been spared and there'd be an hour or so of my life I'd get back. Don't waste your time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this dialogue-driven film that thoughtfully explores life and death and even the afterlife via a visiting being from a different dimension. Be prepared for two long conversations, twenty years apart. I found it totally worth it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member A thought provoking feature that covers many important societal issues that we grapple with on a daily basis. The writing is very brilliant and the actress does an amazing job! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jim Schembri jimschembri.com In all The Bestowal is a bold, idea-driven arthouse conversation piece, bolstered by two committed performances but weighed down with relentlessly heavy subject matter and unadventurous cinematography. (Article includes video interview with director.) Rated: 2.5/5 Jun 23, 2020 Full Review Tony Asankomah GhMovieFreak Writer and director Andrew de Burgh chose a complex story to tell in the simplest of ways stripping bare all the extra elements and allowing the story to be told in whole through intelligent dialogue. Rated: 6/10 Dec 7, 2019 Full Review Douglas Davidson Elements of Madness ... the crux of de Burgh's story is how significant every life lived can be when given the chance. It's a valuable message for those patient enough to receive it. Rated: 3.5/5 Oct 13, 2019 Full Review Mark R. Leeper Mark Leeper's Reviews "Steven and Death have a long (and often tedious) metaphysical discussion about questions that intrinsically have no answer." Rated: 4/10 Sep 30, 2019 Full Review Avi Offer NYC Movie Guru Wise, honest and heartfelt albeit somewhat preachy. It's a perfect antidote to Hollywood's loud, vapid and mindless blockbusters. Fans of cerebral sci-fi films like The Man From Earth will love it. Rated: 8/10 Sep 29, 2019 Full Review George White Cultured Vultures A thought-provoking, impactful independent sci-fi. It has its issues, but the writing and performances deserve great credit. Rated: 7/10 Sep 12, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
