A visit to the Batak Tribe - the oldest indigenous tribe in the Philippines - It started with a 1.5hr drive from Puerto Princesa to Tanabag, then a 1.5hr trek through the jungle. The walk was tranquil with the sound of nature, loved the river crossings. Upon reaching the village, we were greeted with smiles. It was really good to see their homes. Vegetables are grown, and protein is hunted. It was definitely an eye opener and such an awesome experience! Shout out to Ron: travel operator from Corazon Travel, his customer service is amazing! Roman: the local tour guide. So knowledgeable and accommodating. Gabs: the legend who guided us through the trek! Josh: the driver who played cool tunes! Highly recommend if you ever visit Palawan!!!

LOOKING BACK...... - In this place, you will find the remaining part of what has been a big chunk of what we are now. a place of solace and solitude with a simpler life, their amazing culture, the family bond, the children, the food, the handicrafts, the nature. it was something to look back and visit when in the City of Puerto Princesa. It is not another TOURIST ATTRACTION...it is what Life is... People that has survived through centuries.. Preserve their Culture. and being Proud of what they have til now... ready to show the world their LEGACY.
