This ornamental herb produces maroon buds and pink flowers during the warm months of the year. Deadhead old flowers to encourage repeat blooming. This herb is a good cutflower and dries well when about half of the flowers are open. Be sure to provide full sunlight and a well drained soil, preferably a raised bed. Fertilize plants a couple of times during the growing season. Aphids and spider mites are reported to be a problem.
