There are 3 sets of percentage decrease worksheets:

  • Easy or Simple Percentages (50%, 25%, 20%, 10%, 5%, 1%)
  • Whole Number Percentages
  • Decimal Number Percentages

You can follow these steps to calculate the percentage decrease between two numbers:

  1. Subtract the new number from the original number.
  2. Divide the result obtained in step 1 by the original number.
  3. Multiply the result from step 2 by 100 to get the percentage decrease.

Example:
Given that the original number is 80 and the new number is 60, calculate the percentage decrease.

  1. Subtract the new number from the original number: 80 - 60 = 20.
  2. Divide the result by the original number: 20 / 80 = 0.25.
  3. Multiply the result by 100 to get the percentage decrease: 0.25 × 100 = 25%.
So, the percentage decrease from 80 to 60 is 25%.
