"No excuses are needed! If you wish to conduct your business in private and to avoid contact with the IRS, Police, INS, Collection Agencies, Social Services, Sheriff, or DEA -- then try these time-tested Law Keep Away products. Law Keep Away is an old hoodoo formula for oil, incense, sachet powders, and bath crystals that are designed to make agents of the law stay away from one. It is most often utilized as a type of magical spell of protection, but it can also augment the "luckiness" factor in money spell work as well.

The label shown here is from a Lucky Mojo brand Law Keep Away Vigil Candle, burned by those who wish to win at games of luck and chance. The same herbs and fragrances used to dress this candle for customers and clients are the basis of Lucky Mojo brand Law Keep Away dressing oil . used for anointing oneself, fixing the home, preparing brown or blue offertory candles or feeding a mojo bag. These herbs and scents also can be found in Law Keep Away incense powder, sachet powder, and bath crystals.

Like the rest of the Lucky Mojo line, this product contains genuine herbal essential oils, not synthetic fragrances. Lucky Mojo labels are adapted from vintage packaging and in many cases the images are as traditional as the ingredients themselves.

Law Keep Away straddles a metaphoric line between a family of related Protection Spell formulas, such as Protection, and Fiery Wall of Protection and a family of legal spells, exemplified by Court Case products. Each one of these old-time recipes is slightly different -- some placing emphasis on keeping troublesome people away, others on staying on favourable terms with the Justice system, regardless of one's activities. Disparate as these concepts are, they have in common the underlying aim of enhancing the magician's internally generated forces, enabling action upon the external world.

The above formulas may, of course, be mixed and matched in any way that suits the practitioner, or may be teamed up with formulas from another line of goods, such as a financial or money luck formula like Money Drawing, or a passion and sexual love spell formula like Love Me.

There are thousands of specific spells that employ a variety of hoodoo spiritual supplies. Here are some of the ways you can use Law Keep Away brand spiritual supplies to attract the luck you desire.

LEARN HOW TO HELP YOURSELF

For the best book of old-time and up-to-date spells that teach you how to keep the law away from yourself or your place of business, grab a copy of "The Sporting Life: How to Help Yourself with Hoodoo from the Streets to the Sheets" by Professor Charles Porterfield. This book contains more than 150 practical spells, charms, recipes, and authentic old-style tricks, and it pulls back the velvet curtain that has for too long concealed the life, times, history, and folk magic of the demimonde.

PREPARATION

You may perform spells for increasing luck and protection whenever you desire. If the need is not urgent, you can take time to align your spell-casting with cosmic forces and work by a Waxing Moon Phase, so that the Moon grows bigger while you work. But don't let the Moon Phases hold you back: if the timing is not right, you can do the work whenever it is best for you.

OLD-TIME LAW KEEP AWAY SPELLS

Some of the oldest Law Keep Away spells use personal concerns, such as the foot track dirt of a policeman to make the laws stay away.

Others Law Keep Away spells employ an old style Indian Head Cent -- a copper penny with the head of an Indian depicted on it -- as a "lookout" or "Indian Scout" to keep the Police, INS, social services, DEA, collection services, IRS, and others away. This Scout is identified by some with "Black Hawk."

To Keep Off the Law, nail a row of Indian Head Cents or "Scouts," into the threshold or around door frames. You can drill each cent and drive a nail through it, or hammer two nails beside each penny and then flatten the nails across each other to form an "X" over the coin -- which is said to "X-out the Laws."

A row of four Scouts is usually sufficient for a home, but nine may be employed where illegal business is conducted, and one old building in the South was found to have 1,500 of them nailed around all the doors and windows!

To keep your Scouts watching out for you, dress them once a week with Law Keep Away Oil. This is a real old-time spell; the U.S. government has not minted Indian Head Cents since 1909.

SPRINKLING WITH SACHET POWDERS

Dust your body, your merchandise, your lottery tickets, or your racing form with Law Keep Away Sachet Powders, or sprinkle a pinch of Law Keep Away Sachet Powders in the four corners of the room where you plan to make sales or do some wagering or card playing or dice gaming. Each time, say the 23rd Psalm and name what you want.

To keep people off your track, mix Law Keep Away Sachet Powders with graveyard dirt collected from the grave of an upright citizen, a lawyer, or a well-respected police officer, and sprinkle the mixture behind you to "throw the laws off the scent."

When filing paperwork for your annual income, estate, sales, or property taxes taxes, pray for protection against an audit blow a bit of Law Keep Away Powders on the papers and shake them to remove any visible traces; if you are expecting a tax return, add to this some Pay Me Powders.

DRESSING YOURSELF WITH ANOINTING OILS

If you conduct your business in the streets or at a location where you will meet the public, add a few drops of Law Keep Away Dressing Oil to your favourite perfume or to any perfumed oil that you customarily use in your work, such as Jezebel Oil, Lucky Number Oil, Cleo May Oil, or Money Drawing Oil.

SMOKING WITH INCENSE

Make the Law Keep Away Incense Powders into cones (use a twist of paper or a small candle snuffer cone, pack the incense in with your finger, and turn it out of the cone) or place it loose on a brazier. Many people find that keeping a pot of Incense smoking while they work increases their ability to break through into a spiritual space or magical way of working.

SETTING CANDLES AS PRAYER LIGHTS

Carve your full name on a blue Offertory Candle and dress the candle with Law Keep Away Oil. As you dress it, speak aloud your petition, such as, "With the help and grace of God, i'm gong to be safe tonight."

You may burn the candle in sections (generally 15 minutes at a time) or let it burn through to the end, no matter how long it takes. If you burn it in sections, you may fnd it a good idea to light and burn the incense each time as well.

If you want the spell to be ongoing, you can set a light at home to "back you up" while you go to the casino, card room, or race track to play, you would be better off to use a fixed and prepared Law Keep Away Glass Encased Vigil Candle. Write your petition on paper, cross it with your name written 9 times, and set the Vigil Light in a safe place, such as the sink, bath tub, or shower stall, where it will not cause any problems while you are out.

BATHING WITH HERBAL BATH CRYSTALS

Before dawn dissolve half a packet of Law Keep Away Bath Crystals into a tub of hot water. Pour the water over your head 9 times as you say the 23rd Psalm and name what you want. Air-dry yourself and collect a basin of the used bath water, which now has your essence in it. Dress in fresh, clean clothes. You may throw the water on the ground at any location where you will be conducting your business, or you may carry the basin of bath-water to a crossroads and throw the water toward the sunrise in the East, walk back home and don't look back.

DRESSING YOUR CLOTHING

Whenever it is convenient for you, dissolve the remaining half of your packet of Law Keep Away bath crystals in hot water and add the liquid to the rinse water when you do your laundry, especially your underwear and stockings. When you wear these clothes, you will be "dressed" for luck.

A PRAYER FOR PROTECTION

How you choose to use Law Keep Away spiritual supplies is, of course, up to you, but one very traditional method is to employ them in conjunction with the 91st Psalm, while praying for all that is desired.

PSALM 91

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most
   High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my
   fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the
   fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under
   his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be
   thy shield and buckler.
Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night;
   nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness;
   nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand
   at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the
   reward of the wicked.
Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge,
   even the most High, thy habitation;
There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any
   plague come nigh thy dwelling.
For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to
   keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou
   dash thy foot against a stone.
Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young
   lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.
Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will
   I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he
   hath known my name.
He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will
   be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and
   honour him.
With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my
   salvation.

CLEANING UP

It is important to properly dispose of ritual remains. Because these are magic spells for good luck, you may want to keep the remains around your home. Wrap up any left-over candle wax, incense ashes, and used sachet powders in a piece of cloth. Secure and tie it with thread or string. Bury it in your back yard.
