Very British Understatements

Very British Understatements

After 23 years living and working in what my fellow countrymen often dub La Perfide Albion, I've developed a knack for deciphering what lies behind stiff upper lips.

Yet I still get caught out. I love the Brits, I truly do. But their tendency to be polite to a fault can be frustrating in business. I prefer the quick pain of rejection, so I can take stock and move on rather than being aimlessly strung along.

I recently came across a table that has been doing the rounds online for years. It was allegedly produced by a Dutch company in an attempt to prepare staff they were sending on assignment to the U.K. - though its exact origin is becoming quite the urban myth.

I've stumbled upon it before, but it still makes me chuckle: the perfect antidote to a rainy Friday afternoon. Care to add to it???
