Falling sick can be an isolating experience, but doesn't have to be a stressful one.

When you feel unwell for whatever reason, your top priority should be to take care and get as much rest as possible for a speedy recovery.

But it can get hard to rest when you know work is piling up!

In fact, when we fall sick we are more prone to stressful thoughts and worries. This slows down the healing process.

Researchers suggest indulging in activities that are low effort but help in getting those thoughts out of your head. This mental clearance is important if you want to be able to rest well.

✏️ The next time you feel unwell and stressed, how about trying some journaling to clear your mind?

Scribble down your thoughts before bed for a better night’s sleep.

If you're feeling too fatigued, you could even record a personal voice note talking about your feelings.

I love the idea of recording a personal voice note.
