Discovering the Heart of Humanitarianism

Hey, you guys! I had a moment today, a real eye-opener. The word 'humanitarian' suddenly resonated with me on a whole new level. It's not just about being a held-out hand giving to needs – that's temporary. It's about giving people the tools to stand tall, no matter what life throws at them.

- Childhood Dreams: I've always wanted to make the world better, and eventually my scope narrowed down to my expertise - how to make money at home while building an inclusive team that has true rapport. It's about equipping people to stand strong in their own lives, no matter the hurdles and roadblocks they encounter.

- Life's Journey: My path has been about learning and sharing that knowledge. From dreaming of teaching in third grade and writing in middle school to counseling as a pastor's wife, and now back to college in my sixties to learn how to emotionally support others on dark paths. I'm pretty sure I've still got a ways to go in perfecting my craft. But here's one thing I'm clear on: it's about journeying with folks as they learn to shine their own light.

- Realization: I haven't seen myself as a true humanitarianism because I don't have wealth. But what is humanitarianism, if it isn't about partnership? I see it as a commitment to work alongside others, helping them find their own strength and solutions. I don't have a tangible gift in my hand to give, and while I have been working on that, I suddenly realized that I do have something even more valuable. A hearing heart and a creative mind that can work together for the good of people I get to know.

- Action and Impact: It's doing what I can, to teach what I know, where I am. It's about offering tools and strategies, and comfort and encouragement. Because every person I empower creates a ripple effect of change.

So here I am, sharing this journey with you. I want to hear your stories too. How are you empowering others? What does 'humanitarian' mean to you? Let's inspire each other because when we lift others up to stand on their own, that's when the real magic happens. Thanks a ton for being a part of this journey with me. You're the best!
