🌱 It was an exciting day at ➡️ Sustainable Industry Lab 2024 conference. A great initiative by UNEP/GRID-Warszawa bringing together Sustainability experts from government, academia, NGOs, industry associations, business leaders. I had the pleasure to be on the panel called "In the labyrinth of Solutions" moderated by professor Joanna Kulczycka, AGH.🍀 Sharing some of the innovative solutions we implement at Henkel Consumer Brands to reach our ambitions sustainability goals including: 👉 First mover at scale using Biomass Balance approach raw materials in partnership with BASF 👉 Using special material shrink sleeve Ecofloat™ to enable recycling of both bottle and label for Silan and Perwol products 👉 Introducing 50% recycled plastic in our fully recyclable Persil bottles and compacting our formulas to enable same time plastic and CO2 reduction. Thank you Biznes Polska Świat 🙏🏻 for the partnership and opportunity to share my thoughts on how we build trust and how we address ESG and Sustainability as Henkel globally and with my Team in Poland 🌱🇵🇱 👉 The 3 pillars: Regenerative Planet, Thriving Societies, Transparency. 👉 The goal: carbon footprint reduction by 75% by 2030 (vs 2010), we are already at 55% globally, adding 5-8% reduction every year. 👉 In our Poland factory in Racibórz we already cut our carbon footprint by 72% 🏆 ❤️ My favourite part - the multiple social and environmental projects we do in Poland, some of which you can hear in the interview. #responsiblebusiness #ESG

Understanding, respect, humanity is important part of the role of the leader. 👉 I am cautious optimist. #ACT = Accelerating Cultural Transformation 🚀 When research shows that 70-90% of culture change initiatives fail, if you want to succeed you have to go extra miles 😉 👉 Company culture is not what is declared on the wall 🧱, it’s what people feel when they are on the team 💃 🕺 Very important for success and very difficult to get right and it doesn't happen overnight 🌱 👉 Building a strong culture is a marathon🚶, not a sprint 🏃, and it takes time, effort, and commitment from everyone in the organization to make it successful. It's important to create a clear vision, set specific goals and desired behaviors, and consistently reinforce the values of the culture. 👉 The secret sauce 🥣 of accelerating cultural transformation: involve all, communicate regularly, support the leaders of the change, celebrate and recognize the pioneers, evaluate progress, reinforce and correct course. 👍We had a fantastic #ACT moment 🔥 with the whole team of Henkel Consumer Brands Poland: more than 130 people in 14 groups. The energy of our Team is amazing🎉 Thank you 👏 Karolina Szmidt for presenting the initiative. Cosmetics always close to my ❤️. Was great to join the biggest dedicated event in Poland: Cosmetics Industry Forum by wiadomoscikosmetyczne.pl Always good to be on top of the trends with Iwona Przybyl and Monika Raubo. Pleasure meeting our business partners, leading research institutes and industry leaders. Taking home 3 reflections: 👉 Technology is enabling new trends like hyper-personalization and neuroglow. 👉 Consumer needs and expectations are evolving. The best way to stay ahead in the game is to put consumer at the center and engage. 👉 The coming year will not be an easy one, still it can offer further growth to the cosmetics industry in Poland.
