*How Canada is Poaching Tech Talent from the USA.* Canada, like many other countries, has been actively attracting tech talent through various initiatives to bolster its technology and innovation sectors. Some factors that contribute to the attraction of tech talent to Canada include: Friendly Immigration Policies: Canada has implemented immigration policies that make it easier for skilled workers, including those in the tech industry, to move to the country. Programs such as the Express Entry system and Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) provide pathways for skilled professionals to immigrate to Canada. Quality of Life: Canada is known for its high quality of life, excellent healthcare, and diverse and inclusive society. These factors can be attractive to individuals seeking a better work-life balance. Tech Hubs: Cities like Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal have developed thriving tech ecosystems with numerous opportunities for professionals in fields such as artificial intelligence, software development, and cybersecurity. Government Initiatives: The Canadian government has actively supported the growth of the tech sector through various initiatives, grants, and funding programs. These efforts aim to create a favorable environment for tech companies and professionals. Global Talent Stream: Canada's Global Talent Stream program allows companies to hire highly skilled foreign workers more quickly, facilitating the recruitment of tech talent from around the world. It's important to recognize that talent migration is a two-way street, and many countries, including the United States, also attract talent from other parts of the world. The movement of skilled professionals contributes to the exchange of knowledge and ideas, fostering global collaboration and innovation. #ExpressEntry #CRSDraw #CanadianImmigration #CanadaPR #ImmigrationConsultants #DreamsComeTrue

32,000+ tech workers attracted to Canada in 2022 Canada's technology sector is experiencing significant growth, as evidenced by the 32,115 tech workers who immigrated in the past year. The Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) and Canada’s Tech Network (CTN) report on Tech Workforce Trends shows that this is partly due to the country's immigration policies and cost advantages, which attract highly-skilled workers from across the globe. Ontario saw the most significant increase in tech workers, while smaller provinces such as Saskatchewan, Newfoundland and Labrador experienced the most rapid growth. Understanding migration trends is crucial to supporting the tech ecosystem and filling the gap in tech workers for available jobs. Contact Solutions Line Immigration for more! NZ being able to retain highly skilled individuals in tech is so so important. We need these people to grow our tax base, drive innovation and productivity, and ultimately grow GDP. The fact we do so little here is a huge government failure spanning 10+ years. What would good policy here look like? Well Canada has just introduced such a policy. - Simpler path for tech workers to go to Canada to work (no job offer needed) - A new Digital Nomads Visa (to work remotely from Canada for up to 6 months) - USA H-1B visa holders & their families can now work in Canada (no job offer needed) Announcement here: https://lnkd.in/gAezACKz

Exciting news, everyone! Canada has just unveiled its first-ever Tech Talent Strategy, and it's got us all buzzing. On June 27th, Immigration Minister Sean Fraser laid out the game plan to attract top-tier global tech talent to our great nation. Here's the deal: The folks at Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) are on a mission. They're crafting an "innovation stream" under the International Mobility Program (IMP) to snag those tech whizzes we've all heard about. Why, you ask? To address our tech job shortages and make Canada a tech powerhouse. The big reveal is slated for late 2023, so mark your calendars. And guess what? This new stream won't put tech employers and employees through the usual Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) hoops. It's like skipping the line at the tech talent theme park. IRCC has two options in the works. First, there's talk of dishing out employer-specific work permits for up to five years to those special tech talents who'll be working for companies handpicked by the Canadian government. Then there's the second option: open work permits for up to five years for the high-demand tech wizards. So, there you have it. Canada's pulling out all the stops to welcome tech talent with open arms. Get ready for a tech-savvy future, because it's coming our way soon! #CanadaTechTalent #InnovationStream #TechTalentStrategy #GlobalTechTalent #IRCC #TechJobMarket #CanadianTechIndustry #IMP #FutureOfTech #WorkPermits #TechWizards #CanadaInnovation
