Finally taking the time to share here our last preprint: https://lnkd.in/eF-Si6U8! This study, led by our former PhD student and microscopy lover Joe Mckellar, shows that human restriction factor MX1 associates transiently to trafficking, neo-synthesized influenza A virus vRNPs, orchestrates their re-routing towards the MTOC in a dynein-dependant fashion, and induces their irreversible sequestration there! Dynein inhibition by dynapyrazole-A nicely (and significantly) rescues IAV infectious particle production in the presence of MX1.
