BackTo-School Self-Care Checklist | FREE PRINTABLE

Going back to school, work, and routine has to be one of the BEST feelings ever. I love the Summer. I love slowing down and taking a rest. But what I love most about that rest is the RUSH of energy as I get back on track. It never looks perfect, and there are always a few bumps on the road but it’s always thrilling to design a back-to-routine and checklist for self-care habits that will support the new schedule. I’ve been thinking a lot about self-care and how it’s become possibly toxic We don’t want to be so enamored with SELF that ALL WE DO IS CARE FOR JUST OURSELVES. And we don’t want to not care for ourselves at all, because God created you and me in his image and we deserve to be taken care of. Let’s be in prayer that God would search our hearts and help us to have a sober relationship with ourselves and the things we do to feel good. I think we’ll be given the wisdom and the energy so that we can also be a blessing to the other people in our lives that God is calling us to serve.

This checklist should touch on some pretty important aspects that will have you feeling inspired, encouraged and ready to thrive this school year! Comment down below with the answer to this; are you a night owl or an early riser?

The Importance of Godly Self Care
Godly self-care holds immense significance in our lives, as it allows us to nurture and nourish our minds, bodies, and spirits in alignment with God's divine plan. Recognizing that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by our Creator, taking care of ourselves becomes an act of stewardship. By dedicating time to prayer, meditation, and reading scriptures, we fill our spiritual wells and deepen our connection with God. Additionally, prioritizing physical health through healthy eating, exercise, and proper rest becomes an opportunity to honor the temple given to us by God. By engaging in self-care practices rooted in love, gratitude, and faith, we not only experience renewal and rejuvenation, but we also deepen our relationship with our Heavenly Father, enabling us to better serve and love others as He intended.

1 John 4:18: Perfect Love Casts Out Fear
In the hustle and bustle of today's world, it is easy to lose sight of our own worth and forget to love ourselves. However, amidst this chaos, there is solace in the timeless words found in 1 John 4:18. This verse serves as a gentle reminder that perfect love, the love that flows from the Divine, has the power to drive out all fear. It reassures us that we are deeply cherished and held in the embrace of an unconditional love that accepts us completely, flaws and all. With this understanding, we can let go of self-doubt and insecurities and begin to appreciate the unique individuals we are. By grounding ourselves in this verse, we can learn to extend love to ourselves, nurturing our minds, bodies, and spirits, and ultimately radiating love to the world around us.

Have a beautiful back-to-school season and share this post with a friend who might also need a checklist to remind them through the year!
