Carex glauca – Blue Cascade PBR

The soft blue foliage of Carex glauca – Blue Cascade PBR, is a striking feature of this clumping sedge. Growing up to a height of up to approx 20cm, it will tolerate boggy, wet areas making it a great waters edge plant, effective in reducing soil erosion.

After becoming established, it will become drought tolerant and withstand full sun as well as part shade. Carex glauca – Blue Cascade is a popular addition to landscaping projects when mass planted. This plant will tolerate occasional foot traffic and sends out lateral roots to spread as a weed inhibiting ground cover. In the gardening arena, it will shine as an ornamental inclusion and with regular clipping, will keep its clean and tidy appearance.
