IOM3 to attend UK Metals Expo 2023

The Institute is pleased to again be attending UK Metals Expo on stand K10 on 13-14 September 2023 at the NEC in Birmingham, UK.

UK Metals Expo provides a forum for all practitioners to promote, share, and discuss major initiatives, challenges and successes across the entire metals supply chain. From primary metal manufacture to supply chain management, processing metals, metal fabrication, machinery, engineering, surface coatings and recycling, the 2023 event allows visitors to connect with industry experts under one roof.

David Arthur FIMMM, Head of Technical Community Support at IOM3 adds, ‘IOM3 was proud to be involved in the first UK Metals Expo show in 2022 and looks forward to continuing the dialogue with the metals sector in 2023. The challenges facing this sector regarding skills, decarbonisation and supply issues of raw materials will all be discussed and IOM3 is well placed to help facilitate the debate. The mix of events, training, content and networks offered by IOM3 can help support and guide those working in this key sector’.

UK Metals Expo aims to

  • Foster relationships and maximise opportunities between the design, engineering, manufacturing, and infrastructure supply chains.
  • Advance education, share best practice and accelerate innovation throughout our community.
  • Place the metals industry at the heart of any future circular economy.
  • Showcase the best-in-class solutions across the whole supply chain.

The free to attend event benefits from full endorsement and collaboration from the UK Metals Council, its member trade associations and numerous industry bodies. The 2023 event includes in-depth discussions and presentations on major initiatives, challenges, and successes in the show floor theatres.
