Sukhwinder Singh, 45, will either get married this year or kill himself

Sukhwinder Singh is 45, and single. In fact, the voice behind superhit tracks like Chhaiyyan Chhaiyyan and Jai Ho, says that he will either get married this year or jump into a well and die.

In a recent interview to Hindustan Times, Sukhwinder said that he was desperate to tie the knot this year. "Koi meri shaadi karwa do, nahi toh main kuein mein kood ke jaan de dunga (Someone please get me married or I'll jump into a well and die)," said the singer.

AR Rahman, with whom he spent three days in the recording studio, apparently also told Sukhwinder to get married. "I was in the recording studio with him for three days. Rahman ne jaan kha li ki shaadi kar le, shaadi kar le (Rahman kept pestering me to get married)," Sukhwinder told the daily.

While Sukhwinder is dying (almost) to get married but still looking for a soulmate, a few years ago things were different. Back in 2013, Singh had said in an interview to the Times of India, said how he was 'madly, crazily, passionately in love'. "Yes! I'm madly, crazily, passionately in love! It's God's amazing gift; I've found my true love! But, I will declare her name to the world in a couple of months' time," Singh said back then.

However, one can only hazard a guess at what might have followed this passionate declaration of love from Sukhwinder.

Anyway, here's wishing Singh finds his soulmate soon enough... before the calendar says December 31 at least!
