WHY ARIJIT SINGH WEARS TURBAN

It was during an online concert on June 6, 2021 that Arijit Singh was spotted wearing a turban for the first time. The singer had then lost his mother just a few weeks back- on May 19. His mother had recovered from Covid-19, but lost her life after suffering from a cerebral stroke. Still reeling from the loss, Arijit Singh held this online concert from his hometown in West Bengal’s Murshidabad- Jiaganj. His turbaned look was a major highlight.

Since then, Arijit Singh has always been spotted covering his head with a turban. But what’s the reason behind it? Well, it is because of the singer’s roots. His mother was a Bengali and his father, Kakkar Singh, is a Sikh. During the pandemic, Singh chose to go back to his roots. Not only did he shift base to Jiaganj from Mumbai, but also started wearing turban. The actor still has a residence in Mumbai but goes back only for work assignments. He has also enrolled his children in a school in Jiaganj and lives there with them along with his wife and his father.
