King George Hospital is the biggest government hospital in Andhra Pradesh, but the situation is such that it too had no bed to spare.

This is yet another tragedy that raises questions about the state government's handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, a man was forced to carry body of his dead mother on a two-wheeler as no ambulance was available for them to carry her to the crematorium from a hospital.

The incident was reported in the Palasa area of Srikakulam district on Monday.
