Description ²

• Flower: White tubular shaped, 4 petals
• Leaves: oppositely arranged, evergreen, round to egg shaped, ½-¾ inch long, waxy surface, smooth edges, whitish midrib
• Fruit/Seed: bright red berry, 1/3 inch diameter
• Height: 4-12 inches
• Flowering: June - July
• Habitat: rich woods, rocky outcrops
