As if the world of fashion didn’t already have enough, uh, strong personalities, another unhinged soul plans on joining the industry’s ranks now that she’s out of rehab.
Amanda Bynes is “now looking at various colleges with the intention of majoring in fashion design,” said lawyer Tamar Arminak in a statement to People on Thursday following the actress’ discharge from an inpatient rehab facility after a five-month stint. “She’s mentioned before she’s interested in creating a clothing line.”

Arminak may not recall that Bynes actually already had a clothing line called Dear, which was a collaborative effort between the actress and now-defunct collegiate logo merchandiser Steve & Barry’s in 2007.
Featuring an array of T-shirts, jeans and waffle pullovers stamped with farm-friendly animals, the under-$20 merchandise was pretty putrid — even before fashion’s golden age of collaborations had been fully realized. But not everyone was a hater — Cosmo Girl said the line had “major first-day-of-school-outfit potential.”
Those who want a piece of Dear can still find them on eBay, where flare-leg jeans and plaid shorts are on offer for $4.99 a pop.
Otherwise, the wait for Bynes’ next sartorial foray is officially on.
