Trevor Noah never really used his screen time on The Daily Show to talk about his romantic entanglements, but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t dating in between his funny political deep dives.

Throughout his career, Noah has been very private about his love life, often choosing instead to talk about his family and his upbringing, as in his best-selling 2016 memoir Born a Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood. He has, however, dated a few public figures, including actor Minka Kelly and (allegedly) Dua Lipa.

Now, fans have started speculating that Noah might be in a secret relationship with influencer and business expert Zoë Leila Mabie—a fellow native of Johannesburg, South Africa. The two have even been spotted hanging out since the new year began. Here’s everything we know about her.

Zoë is a fashion influencer and works in business

If you took one look at Mabie’s Instagram, you’d see a grid stylish photos of her in textured two-pieces, sleeveless high-neck dresses, bandanna tops, and so much more. The businesswoman has great taste, and her account is a feast of looks.

But Mabie’s main grind is working for Meta, as noted in her Instagram bio (which as of this writing reads: “Woman in tech @meta”). Her LinkedIn profile reveals she is a business lead at Meta Africa: Global Business Group, where she specializes in cross-function coordination, project management, and business strategy.

Mabie has had this gig since 2019, according to a tweet she posted in 2020: “Started my journey with one of the biggest tech giants in the world - Facebook Inc - a year ago. Here’s a snippet of the journey #levelup #bossbabe.”

She is getting her MBA

While it’s clear Mabie is already thriving in the world of tech, she is in the process of earning her MBA. This is also noted in her Instagram bio.

She is an MBA candidate at Warwick Business School at the the University of Warwick, a public research university on the outskirts of Coventry in England.

Per her LinkedIn, she previously received degrees from South Africa’s Red & Yellow Creative School of Business, the University of Cape Town, and the Vega School of Brand Leadership. She celebrated her plethora of degrees with an Instagram post in 2016, which read, “Just outcheah collecting degrees 😋 #graduation #honours #anotherone #round3.”

Oh, and she can ride horses

As if she weren’t already impressive enough, Mabie has also been riding horses for years, documenting her love for the equestrian sport on her social media accounts.

Early in January 2024, she posted a special message to her Instagram, detailing her love of riding. “The stables are - in many ways - a sacred place,” she wrote. “Saddling up a horse is ceremonious. Through preparing the horse, we both begin to understand that, with the rhythm of each stride, we will soon become one motion. Where we honour and respect one another in one of the best states of flow there is - riding! I’m looking forward to another year in the saddle!”

She’s a Cannes winner?!

Okay, it’s not that kind of Cannes award.

Mabie’s Instagram bio notes that she’s a Cannes and a Loeries Award winner—but she didn’t get the Cannes prize that we’ve come to associate with the famous French film festival. Instead, the influencer won a Cannes Lions Social & Influencer award. This prize, as well as the Loerie Award, honors achievements in the brand communications industry.

She met Trevor through mutual friends

As Noah and Mabie are both from South Africa, it’s likely the pair met through mutual friends. According to the South African, the business guru has long been pals with author Khaya Dlanga and Joe Public United chief creative officer Xolisa Dyeshana, who both happen to be good friends of Noah’s as well.

In fact, Dyeshana posted a photo in early January 2024 that features both Noah and Mabie (and Noah is even seen in it putting his hand on her shoulder).

Mabie also posted her own video to Instagram, a recap of the same vacation. Noah can be seen in a clip sitting at a table where the group is enjoying a meal. Mabie captioned her video, “We love summer!”
