Sarah Jessica Parker just went full Carrie Bradshaw at the New York City Ballet’s 2023 Fall Gala.

On October 5, the 58-year-old actor arrived at the glamorous event with husband Matthew Broderick wearing a black off-the-shoulder princess dress with bustier cutouts and a flouncy, ankle-length tule skirt, which she accessorized with an oversized black ribbon in her hair, subtle diamond jewelry, and a glittering silver purse. I couldn't help but wonder, has SJP been shopping in the And Just Like That… wardrobe department?

Somehow the semisheer tule skirt was not the most Sex and the City–coded aspect of the ’fit. On Parker’s feet were not one but two different sandals from the actor’s shoe line, SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker. Though the $450 satin Dish Sandals are indeed sold in mismatched color combinations—Veuve green with Kelly pink, or Midnight black and Orchid purple—SJP proved the whimsical style’s versatility by pairing the pink shoe from one pair with the black option from the other.

Unfortunately, both pairs of the open-toed heels—which feature a certain Manolo Blahnik je ne sais quoi given their circular bejeweled embellishments—are currently sold out, though a similar pair of slingbacks featuring a square buckle is still available on the SJP website in Candy pink and Rish yellow.

In a rare turn of events, Sarah Jessica Parker rocked a short black manicure, though her toes were seemingly left unpolished. “I never do my nails,” she told Allure in 2011. “I’ve probably had nail polish on my nails twice in 10 years.”

This is yet another styling quirk Parker shares with her onscreen counterpart, who SJP once told Glamour would consider a manicure an “obstacle on the speedy road toward thoughts being written.” She added, “It just never seemed that it was where Carrie would spend her time expressing herself.” Clearly, that job belongs to her shoes.
