After more than three decades of designing clothing for women, Azzedine Alaïa is getting into the beauty business (am I the only one that hears his name and still thinks about Cher Horowitz from Clueless? It's an Alaïa!) The designer, who rarely speaks to the press (or shows a new collection) has signed on with Beauté Prestige to develop a line of fragrance and cosmetics.
"Beauté Prestige International corresponds perfectly to the spirit of the Alaïa house," the designer told WWD. "I am delighted to work with them in launching this new project. I have total confidence in Beauté Prestige International to accompany me in creating a perfume that interprets my work and my world."
