Racyqo plants are an edible fibrous plant that unfurls in to large palms that split and segment over time drooping over as new shoots grow in the centre. Each bulb is it own plant and live in colonies as clusters on a shared root system suspending the bulbs above the water. The roots sprout new bulbs along the border where they become their own plant growing a shoot from the bulb.
New shoots are a yellow and soft with being edible but as they grow and mature they oxidise and become more fibrous protecting the inner core and they unfurl open over time. A yellow stem will remail in the centre of the unfurling palm where the tip grows into a fruit at the highest point of the plant. Over time this detaches and will float to a new location to germinate to start a new root colony and new bulbs for populating over distances.
Once the plant reaches a certain maturity, they are cut down and transported to a processing farm so the shoot can be fully unrolled into a sheet and left to dry. The fibrous sheet will crack into smaller segments but depending on the product and using water it can be dried into a durable single sheet. Other purposes requires the plant to be processed for its fibres and edible core, this is done by removing yellow sections of the shoot such as the core and lower portion are removed and boiled in a separate container. The remaining red palms are attacked to a combing machine so the fibres can be teased out. The yellow portions of the plant once boiled are strained to separate the starch from the now edible Racqyo
The Racqyo products are used for many industries such as building materials for roof materials and tiles, textiles in making cloth and fabrics, and in the fast-food business where the yellow soft core of the plant makes up as a bulking food source.
