I understand now why some people smell strawberry milkshake or ice-cream and some don't. I happen to check my Yara box today. It says: "Perfme". I quickly realized the one I received is a FAKE. Let me tell you what this fake one smells like... it is not tangerine or heliotrope,... it's strawberry milkshake. Mistery solved😩

aritianna

It's hard to not like this fragrance. It is beautiful, soft, and feminine. I can see why it is so popular! But it's not jaw dropping. It's kind of simple which is why I think it's overhyped. However, if you aren't deep into fragrances this is a perfect choice!
Smells like strawberry baby powder, it's light and strong at the same time, truly addicting! While I do think it's overhyped, I will be wearing this often due to the compliments!

Paradiso26

Nice . Pleasant. It's like a good quality body spray . It's very pretty . Great for a bedtime scent . Great for daytime when you don't want to spray something more expensive. Smells like something between powdery body lotion and slightly sugary berris raspberries strawberries frosting . But it becomes a very smooth sweet/powdery body scent. Good for summer as well .

doraemonsoda

smells sweet, warm and creamy, not a fresh kind of smell. not for everyone, but worth the price in my opinion. some people say it smells grandma-ish, but it really depends on who wears it and what you combine it with.

Xemilyposersux

Very cute, but a bit overhipped it is a bit too much powdery and I was expecting to smell more lactonic and strawberry scent, but it was again just my blind buying, but I like it very light and cute, just I think that you need to layer it with something else

vaïmitirizz

Not a strawberry milkshake but a cherry powdery fluffy thing ?? Or faintly cherry flavoured sugary milk ??
I thought I would not like it (thought it would be overhyped, too youthful, and forgettable type of experience), but tested it anyway.
I became very intrigued with the dry down, it is not a linear scent. The scent evolved from sweet fluffy almost milky cloud into a powdery comforting vanilla cloud. Seems very common and not unique described this way, and I agree it's not the most original scent, but it's really good.

Very inviting, sweet, soft-fluffy scent.
Gonna let it macerate and write a full review afterwards.

For now the vibe is:

everyday I log onto fragrantica and pray that they add the superior version of this Qissa Pink

aurorad6317

this is so good and it smells a lot like sandalwood tho when it dries buts sooo good and yum

Ultraben10

Smells like Bath and body works pink chiffon to me.

Noveight

Ok I used to think this sucked. It was synthetic, weak, watery floral. I left it alone for after trying it for a few days. Six months later, during, a perfume declutter, I popped open the cap and was flooded with a vanilla, creamy, berry scent. The scent has completely changed. It's a very soft, fluffy, berries and cream-type of musk. It's beautiful for spring, and approachable for everyday. I guess maceration is a real thing. This is gourmand-leaning, but does not taste like an actual cake like some people say in the reviews. It's definitely too musky to be food, but I like it. Prevents it from being TOO juvenile, even though this is a younger woman's scent. Perfect for spring.

lsabelle

Pink gourmand. Vanilla marshmallow, sweet strawberry milkshake, a strong powdery musk accord and sandalwood to add some depth. Smells just like the bottle indicates; feminine pinkish softness.

Mrsknowitall

I just don't understand the hype , It's synthetic , too sweet

Tlm93

It doesn’t smell bad, but it’s not at all what I expected. It’s actually very fresh. I thought it would be extremely fruity and creamy. It actually smells like the Katy Perry perfume in the pink bottle at first and then it just turns super fresh and clean smelling will use it in the summertime, I just expected more because of all the hype .

Ok so I’m wearing it today and it smells exactly like coconut hair conditioner. I don’t like it but it’s a nice freshly out of the shower smell.

This is why we let perfumes sit!
My first review was lukewarm, I liked the scent but it wasn't an instant love. A couple months later I am absolutely on board of the Yara hype train! I experience this with a lot of ME perfumes so idk why I'm even surprised.
Basically, the scent was more woody and sweet floral when I first got it. I didn't get the creamy gourmand experience everyone was talking about. Now (about 3 months later) I get a gourmand, creamy and still slightly woody scent that maybe isn't a literal milkshake in a bottle but definitely has a milkshake vibe going on. Emphasis on sweeter and creamier!!
Lasts and projects amazingly. Layers well with so many other scents. This is a universally flattering sweet feminine scent with good sillage, longevity at a great price. If you're like me and didn't love it at first sniff, pleeease let it sit for some time. You'll be glad you didn't declutter it!

Jeswes89

The opening has a bit lavendel note. Then it reminds me a bit of Burberry Her edp, creamy strawberry, sweet.
It's sweet and the notes are well combined.
But it's a NO for me. It's nothing special plus it can be headache inducing. This perfume will suit teenage girls that wanna try perfume for the first time because it's sweet and not projecting to well

maditomlinson

The initial sprays smelt very strongly of rubbing alcohol. Unfortunately, the scent didn't change to anything more pleasant as time went on. Perhaps I got a bad batch but I struggle to even grasp the faintest strawberries and cream / sweet scent everyone picks up. Seems overhyped.

yeboibivdog

I bought it for my girlfriend as a gift and am very glad I did. I want to eat her alive whenever I smell it. Blend is not perfect which I feel is due to the combo of tropical fruits, the cake vibes, and florals. But that doesn't matter, its amazing smelling it from my pov. Very welcoming and well rounded while still being unique. Smells pink and fluffy but somewhat refreshing in a way, maybe I just really like my girl idk. 8.5/10

Softpeacelily

Whilst it’s a sweet girly fragrance perfectly suited towards a younger audience - think teens to mid twenties, I don’t think floral, fruity and vanilla is the greatest mix here .. I love the concept and at a quick smell it’s clean and feminine, think strawberry scented body lotion, but when it really dries down and you smell it properly there is one note that makes it almost sickly/ synthetic plasticky.

After an hour it started smelling sour on my skin, definitely doesn’t go with my chemistry.

I feel more a stronger vanilla note would balance it all out better. Im going to continue wearing it as I DO like it, I just don’t love it, there’s just something in there that’s not doing it for me. I definitely would have worn this in my school/college years.

JahinXO

When you tell me that a perfume smells like Barbie or the colour pink, I'll instantly imagine the plain hot pink colour, and think of a perfume that's super fruity and summery, in-your-face-kinda. Even when they said it smells like strawberry milkshake I assumed the fruity notes will overpower everything keeping the vanilla only as a sweetening element, making it smell like a cheap and synthetic arab perfume.

Still got myself a sample of it. Was I too excited to recieve it? No. But the phrase "Never judge a book(perfume in this case) by it’s cover" needs to be taken seriously. What's the cover of a perfume? The top notes. I sniffed it and thought yeah, this does smell like Barbie and hot pink. Super fruity, floral and basic. The only reason I could detect the vanilla is because I knew it was in it. Meh.

But after a while when the middle notes kicked in, I was already recalculating my reality. The sweet fruity notes really toned down into a smooth strawberry essence and started to cooperate with the base notes. Almost like a smooth strawberry parfait, so much creamier than a milkshake. Exactly like the soft pink colour of the bottle.

The setting of the base notes was when I realized that I had fallen deeply in love. Smooth and silky vanilla with a soapy-refreshing quality. Playful and totally delicious! Lasted for quite a long time. May be simple but as long as it hit my nose I was drooling. Great for summers as well as colder days. Is it overhyped? Maybe because not many people are into fruity gourmands. Is it worth a shot? Yes!

ms_sarah1484

This fragrance is so comforting to me. It gives a “strawberry milk” shake and I enjoy it.

taraloft

overhyped

emilyek1

Not unpleasant, but not what I was expecting. Smells like Johnson's baby lotion and some non-descript fruits. Will probably give this to my 13 year old sister.

liquidangel

macerates beautifully, bubblegum and vanilla

MarnieK

I wonder if most people reviewing any low priced Arabic fragrance know that they have to let it sit for up to 5 months to macerate before it will smell as intended.

Hollynx

Got a tester of it. Smells like a cotton candy milkshake. It's not a bad perfume if you like sweet scents. Or you are under 25. :) The scent is very youthful. Good for any season or time of day.

SarahPepper

Have been testing this for 2 weeks now and surprisingly love it. It’s very pretty, kind of powdery. The most surprising to me is the longevity, I can still smell this after 8+ hours. Amazing value

TJJ

Considering I only spent $13 for this, I am pleasantly surprised to enjoy it very much. At first spritz, it instantly reminded me of Bath and Body Works Pink Suede which came out after Christmas in 2023, early 2024. I know it will layer very well with Pink Suede lotion, which I have. Girly, bubbly, sweet and delicious, Yara will grace the top 10 of my spring/summer rotation.

helidon

Fell for the Tiktokers' hype and whatnot and bought Yara. IMO, Yara is like a pink, girly-girly, recycled milder version of Flowerbomb, with a dash of sugar. Inoffensive and forgettable. The drydown was really pretty, though. - But Yara is not my vibe, and I felt like a fool for falling for "the influencer sirens' " praise for this pretty little thingy.

vanillary29

Yara is a fascinating perfume because it almost has a texture to it - it smells lotion-y, powdery and almost fluffy or whipped. It smells incredibly clean, innocent, almost juvenile and kind. Like you only use baby products on yourself. It definitely reminds me of something my mother used on me when I was a child. It is nostalgic and disarming and I guess it's one of factors behind its massive success. A lot of mainstream perfumes want to smell strong, mysterious and powerful - and yara achieves the polar opposite. It smells delicate, tender, almost fragile. Like you should be protected from all harm. Not everyone’s cup of tea - but quite an astonishing fragrance nonetheless.

Wlaagmal

If you mix love potion secret oriflame and viva la jucy you will have yara . Same dna

Flared Maple

This isn't really that special of a fragrance on its own but is becoming my FAVORITE layering fragrance.
It gives so much brightness in the top notes and depth in the base notes.

It layers perfectly with Trussardi Sound of Donna. Those two where made for each other. If you have both, try it.

I would also suggest to try layering with:
V&R Flowerbomb
Miss Dior Blooming Bouquet
Moschino Cheap & Chic I Love Love

If you're really going for the ultimate Barbie pink, sweet, girly, babydoll vibe, try layering this with Pink Sugar. 🎀🩰💕🍧🍭💗🍓🍰🧸

Edit:
This is addicting. I really thought I was going to find this underwhelming but I honestly think its great.
I don't think its over-hyped, I think its not described correctly on social media.
People are raving that it "SMELLS EXACTLY LIKE A STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE" or whatever.

This does not smell like a strawberry milkshake to me.
It smells like a lightly musky, floral, fruity, sweet, vanilla body lotion.
Its a very wearable and easy to layer gourmand fragrance.
It's non offensive and not very strong in silage, but has great lasting power.

I have only tried the perfume oil, but I definitely want to try the perfume spray.

Bleenders

This was a bit too sweet for me. Of the Yara series, this was my least favorite.

Driedflowers22

Sweet slightly powdery scent. At first spray I initially got a berries and cream then it settled into a sweet slightly powdery scent with a hint of citrus?

Reminds me of a perfume I loved in high-school - Anna Sui - Flight of Flight.

I like the scent but not sold on whether it suits me yet - i don’t know if I like the little citrus that comes through.

peonylust

i had to come back to review this perfume again, since it has been almost 2 years and a half since i purchased it for the first time, and i just got it again! i think my taste has matured a tiny bit because i find this slightly too sweet, but i am still in love with it because of the beautiful memories i associate it with. this smells like the love child of ariana grande's cloud and a strawberry milkshake.

kawaiithugg

I definitely pick up that strawberry milkshake vibe upon first spray but a bit of the citrus from the tangerine and tropical fruits come in and it settles to a flower/powdery smell. Over all very feminine and pretty just like the bottle. I get the same vibes as my Burberry Her Elixir, Anna Sui Violet Vibe and clouds.
My favorite kind of scent profile ☁️🍦🍬

risarii

Got the oil version.
This is beautiful and feminine. I don’t get strawberry nor milkshake. If heliotrope candy were a thing (is it?), then that is what this fragrance is. It’s quite linear on my skin and not crazy longevity (it may have to macerate though) but very nice especially for the price. I can see what it’s so popular and I will be enjoying it.

Editing to add that this strongly reminds me of some other fragrance. I’m not entirely sure but I think it’s Katy Perry’s Meow that this resembles.

wildangel72

I've discovered that the way to wear Yara fragrance is to spray it on clothes if you really want the full experience. On skin this starts as a fairly simple sweet fruity-powder scent that's nice enough, honestly on par with higher end body sprays. After 2-3 hours it wears off, softening as it goes, the end. But on clothes.... 👀🤯I sprayed some on a work jacket just to freshen it up, and didn't want to use anything expensive or overpowering. The next night I kept getting whiffs of an incredible scent when I walked through the room, and couldn't figure out what I had that smelled like that. I didn't recognize it. I went sniffing around and was blown away to find that it was my work jacket. Overnight the sweet girly scent completely transformed and took on a whole new life. Once dry on fabric, the musk, sandalwood, and deeper notes really develop, and this went from cute pink candy to.... Elegant. Grown. High end. Beautiful.✨ It became a slightly sweet white musk worthy of evening wear and any age. It smells nice on skin for a few hours; it smells lovely on fabric for days. I think on skin it just wears off before the whole thing can play out. For casual daytime wear, I'll use it directly on the skin. For a classy, sophisticated feel, I'll spritz it on clothes ahead of time and let the magic bloom. A very pleasant surprise, and I'll be buying another bottle. 💓. (Psst ... Similar experience with Yara Tous! Updated that review, too. A new summer fave 😁 🌴🥥).

adriennb

I got this because of the hype around it and I was not disappointed, but it will also not be my favourite. I couldn't really detect any notes at first, it just smelled sweet to me. Some people say it smells like strawberries and cream and after some time I did start smelling those, I'm not sure if it's just because I think that's what it's supposed to smell like or if there's really a distinctive strawberry note.
It's a pretty, basic but inoffensive scent. If it cost more I would probably be more disappointed with it but for this price I feel like I can't really complain. You also get a huge bottle for this price so I feel like overspraying is also okay for this one since the longevity is moderate but not very good. I like to layer it with Cheirosa 40 or VS Velvet Petals.
The only thing I don't like is the design of the bottle.

bailarina

Smells like strawberry Ice Cream on me. I wasn't able to smell those notes until after later. My boyfriend always says uhmmmm and comes closer to my neck to smell this perfume, lol

Viiola

I'm very glad I did not blind buy this but went to the store and smelled it. I honestly don't have anything bad to say about this perfume but I don't get the hype either. I did not get any strawberries or marshmallows or even any powdery finish, all I got was fruit and florals. I really wanted this to smell like a strawberry milkshake but unfortunately I didn't get that, maybe the batches differ? Anyways, I did not end up buying this one because it was just too generic and simple in my opinion. I can however see why people like it, it's nice and inoffensive.

Notedecoeur

Beware of the internet hype for this one. I had my suspicions so I have not purchased it myself and recently was able to smell it from someone else’s collection. Totally misleading - it’s not as sweet as I expected it to be, much much more floral than I thought. The lactonic notes are not very well played. It is not a bad perfume but perhaps will appeal more to the very young (teenager) crowd or those that have yet to broaden their horizons in the perfumery world. Below average performance, first 10 minutes you don’t really know what is going on and then it becomes powdery and almost a skin scent.

Walashe3

i’d rate it 7/10 i like it and it’s such a sweet perfume and it smells like strawberries, vanilla and marshmallows. the downside is that it’s not very long lasting and very close to skin. suitable for school teen girls to wear.

pacsalia

Too powdery on me. I had expectations looking at the. notes but this creation is a BIG nothing to me😱😭

SarahPepper

Smells like a powdery, milky strawberry milkshake, very feminine and sweet

mysteryhalo

Coquette babygirl scent on a budget. Smells like light, sweet, ultra-feminine, floral, baby powder--but more the baby part than powder. If pastel pink could be liquified and concentrated into a perfume bottle. A sophisticated cabbage patch baby smell. For people who want to embrace their inner innocent-seeming ingenue. Even though it's a soft scent, it lasts all day long.

judearose123

This is beautiful. I don’t get a strawberry milkshake vibe at all, I’m getting a sexy musky vanilla with a fruity undertone. I do get the heliotrope and the tangerine in the opening, but it quickly fades into the vanilla & sandalwood in the base. It gets more musky and powdery over time on my skin, but not in a granny way. This is a perfect signature scent for a girly girl. As for the performance, I sprayed my wrist twice and I could still smell it after a shower, and I caught whiffs while doing dishes so I can’t wait for it to sit and macerate for a few weeks. I’ve been on the hunt for a spring/summer scent and I think YARA is perfect.

hysteria1988

Yara is a sweet fragrance, would be perfect for a summers day i the park, thats the kind of vibe i get.
Quite a young smelling fragrance but i love it, to me it smells like one of those Pixie Sticks you used to get in the early 2000s (Tubes filled with mildly fruit flavoured sherbert) Specifically the orange one, I get a bit of the vanilla on the dry down but its a mainly fruity scent. Longevity is as much as you would expect from an affordable fragrance, but just overspray over well moisturised skin, and then a top up throughout the day. Nice bottle, would be interested to try the rest of them.

moon-lake-nymph

A petal-soft gourmand. I wanna literally eat something that smells like this, it's so creamy and dreamy. So cute and innocent. Extremely girly and feminine.

Pink sugary powder. Not everyone gets this I know, but I definitely get the "strawberry milkshake".

This is one of those sweet, soothing fragrances I will use for myself as a kind of "comfort stim" to smell on my wrist when I want a quick pick-me-up. Fantastic for the price.

Oh. Also THE BOTTLE DESIGN?? It's just so unique; so satisfying to hold in your hand and use.

edit - This is not over-hyped at all, I am CONSTANTLY reaching for this.
I am honestly shocked this is as good as it is for the price point. It's 10/10.

Giulia23

Very cheap smelling. It's just sweet. That's it. And not sweet it a nice way.

Very disappointed by all the Yaras.

cawico7

Yara is simply nice. That's it. There's nothing else to her, really.
Very smooth musk, powder and vanilla base with a sprinkling of unidentifiable fruits and flowers in equal proportion.

I was drawn in by all the reviews saying that it's prominently powdery and milkshake-y - that's something I definitely wanted to incorporate more into my perfume wardrobe lately, and I mean, those reviews were right. But this specific combination of sweet and powdery is just... boring. Somehow all the floral and fruity notes mixed with the base contributes to it, and it's not really a bad thing either - it's just perfect for occasions when you have to stand out as little as possible.
Job interviews. Family gatherings. Psych appointments when you're the psych, I guess.
I'm going to let Yara stay - who knows, maybe one day I'll need her assistance with being the most basic person in the room. And once again - not saying this in a negative way, you really have to be that sometimes.

I got a sample for now, and good thing I did - first reason being that I'd never buy the whole bottle now that I tried it, and second being the longevity. It's okay but not great, so you definitely have to reapply 2-3 times throughout the day. Not a lot of sillage either, but it tends to very subtly fill up the room around you as time goes on, which is kinda odd in a good way.

Overall, Yara may not be interesting, or very unique, but it's certainly a very girly, inoffensive and versatile scent. If that's your vibe - you should absolutely get it.

Vintagehearts91

This smells nauseating and cheap on me:( If you have the right skin chemistry I could see how this might smell nice on some people.

sweetmasculine

Definitely way too feminine for me and the top notes are slightly nauseating but once you get down to the base of it and you get that sweet slightly coconut-y vanilla it’s heavenly. I can see the milkshake comparison but to me this is a more lactonic coconut vanilla scent when all the fruity notes disappear. Not my vibe but someone else would LOVE this

miss_malsomalso

I get the strawberry milkshake comparison, but if you ask me to describe it, I would just say it's a girly, flirty, sweet floral scent. Very weak projection and longevity though. I will use up the sample and maybe get a full bottle afterwards as it's really affordable and easy to reach for everday-wear.

LisaJane97

Omg I just got mine, a new batch from January 2024, it’s delicious!😍💫🎉🥂
And yes, I really smell strawberry-milkshake!!😍 a sweet, vanilla-y, powdery and very jumpy strawberry-milkshake. It’s a warm feminine scent and I understand why it is loved by so many! Got it from Notino for a very good price/action! Such a beautiful scent. It creates such a beautiful scent bubble. Yay!😍💫✨

eelss

I didn’t smell this one before, but this seems smell like everything. Whenever I search for a perfume (even if it doesn’t share same notes) it’s high likely to see Yara in the section of this perfume reminds me of :)

littlesparks

Letting this sit, uncapped, in a dark cabinet helped it deepen and smell less fake, but note that there may be a plasticky burnt smell for a very short time in the opening, less than 10 seconds. I let it sit for about a month and a half.
This is a warm berry dessert for me, sugar and vanilla, with a hyper feminine feeling. The bottle is a touch unwieldy and the cap is not great, but it fits a very y2K vibe which I can’t dislike. Longevity is nothing fantastic, 2-2 1/2 hours on skin for me with no sillage.

gourmandprince

Smells very sweet and loveable, for the price point Its amazing imo

vicxrious

Just opened and sprayed this perfume about 30 minutes ago. At first it was kind of weird and I got a bit nauseous... I can't say I completely recovered yet lol. I definitely do not get any strawberry or milkshake or any combination having these 2 elements together. What I get is the smell of a sweet floral cheap shampoo. The dry down is a bit powdery and I can still smell flowers. I guess it's a very inoffensive smell that won't really bother anyone in the room. I think I need to take some time to understand if I really like it or not.

Price wise (15 euro), I think it's ok. Even if I decide I dislike it, I can easily just gift it to someone.

Ella Jay

I get the hype for this perfume, but for me it’s just not making waves. It’s very sweet and I’d imagine what a teenager would wear. I personally don’t get the strawberry vibes, and the performance is not wow compared to other perfumes from this creator.

poppyetpear

This is very pretty. I think it smells very similar to Thank U Next, so I definitely get the coconut vibe others do. It also smells similar to Cheirosa 62, but not as heavy and sickly sweet. It's a nice after shower fragrance. Longevity does suck.

Hypnotic Flower

I usually wear it with SDJ Cheirosa 62 lotion + body spray! Amazing combo! I get so many compliments but the only downside is that I don't think it lasts or projects much, maybe it needs time to macerate a bit. Anyway, it's a love!

Sabrina_A

I fell for the hype. It’s a very ”cute” perfume that smells like a ”sweet-berries-pie” to me, but it doesn’t last long at all, you have to overspray it for the scent to last at least 1 hour on your skin therefore it get a big minus. The price is good but in all honesty, it should be even cheaper. The scent is to ”watery”. Heavy bottle that looks different, that I like!

ANNAFRYS

Dry down is like 80s lipstics, first spray bit synthetic but that vanilla and powder :) sometimes reminds me a car freshner :) That alcohol in it is so strong without it would be so nice.

sadlieh

i definitely see where the strawberry milkshake comes from, but i wouldnt call it that. definitely a little milky and fruity, quite light and powdery too though. this is the first fragrance where i could tell it was powdery without having ever really detected a powdery scent in any other perfume before! not a bad thing though.

Khushi95

This smells similar to the body mist from bath n body works n sol de janerio. Its very powdery, light, little milky n floral n bubbly scent. I would say its appropriate for teenagers or for casual wear. The sillage is weak but lasts for a decent amount of time. I wouldn’t say its groundbreaking like so many people claim… its just pretty pink fragrance good for daily use. Good value for money.

Lela24

I agree it smells a bit like body mists but not in a bad or cheap way. Very nice, girly, spring-summer scent. Sweet, musky, gourmand, but still light. I only dislike strong alcohol in the opening and weak sillage/short lasting. For this money, it’s okay. 6/10.

mariizabel

Absolutely amazing🎀 Love on first sniff!! Bought a big bottle immediately! I got a very recent 2023 batch, it smells super rich and high quality. Best I can describe is strong but soft, very feminine and girly, super silky powder scent, very comforting and definitely smells like the color pink!
I feel sooo pretty wearing it! For me it’s such a compliment getter from all ages and genders! Amazing reactions every time I wear it, quality and sillage is insane for the price! Love the bottle just sucks that it's too heavy and bulky for carrying around in a purse, but it sure lasts long so no need for reapplying throughout the day. Smell lasts on clothes until washed, makes them smells super clean. Great for layering as well, makes any average perfume a 10/10!
All the love for Yara from me 💗😇

HellyKayden

I think is so lovely. I don’t necessarily get the strawberry milkshake everyone has been mentioning but I see why people are saying that. I like this because it’s floral but not too floral and powdery but not too powdery. I’m definitely getting coconut cream pie with fruit on the side or something. I could see myself wearing this everyday but the vibes are definitely pretty pink girly girl. Usually I like something a tiny bit edgy or dark if that makes sense. I bought the smaller one and will definitely burn through it quickly. Also, it reminds me of something from bath & body works but I can’t remember what.

vanillashpice

I get coconut .. how is no one saying this. Someone sent me a decant of this and didn’t label it and I thought it was going to be something else, definitely not “strawberry milk” not even .01 percent ! Lol so let’s debunk that rumor. Whenever people see a pink bottle they assume it has berry in it, it’s not listed anywhere on the notes. It’s a coconut scent and has a sharp tart top note like papaya or hibiscus or the tangerine, not berries. I also get a lot of alcohol with this one. it’s not as powdery as I imagined though, just very shampoo vibes. Think coconut suave. Not a commanding or noticeable one at all. I see the Comparisons to pink drink because it smells like coconut milk and fruit juice , which is what the pink drink consists of…

Smellingitall

Okay so I finally got my hands on it and it reminds of a shampoo I’ve used before. It’s very shampooyi, extremely extremely sweet. I’m not mad about it but I don’t love it either. It’s a so so for me. The hype is definitely not worth it. I wanted to be surprised, I am but not exactly in a good way.
Overall it’s a okay perfume.

I am testing a sample of Yara while I am eating strawberry marshmallow, indeed there is a resemblance! 🍓

I can't figure out if I like this scent or not, it's very youthful, fresh and fun and I think it doesn't represent me at all as a dna, moreover I don't think I want to smell like plain Strawberry Marshmallow...

but then the dry down comes in with that musk+tropical feeling, which I think has something interesting and a little deeper to leave me in doubt 😉

If it were a little more dark/mysterious on dry down (and not so girly) and especially more persistent it might be worth my purchase!

zagkoti

Like with most overhyped perfumes, people will find this underwhelming. It is a sweet, powdery vanilla perfume, it doesn't have any particular note that sticks out to me. I can imagine a lot of people liking this one. It is not a unique "wow what is that" type of fragrance but I can imagine getting a lot of compliments. I will definitely use it a lot. Also, it is very affordable.

Lemisha

This smells super sweet and girly with a touch of pinacolda. This is a crowd pleaser, I find men particularly like the smell of this.

semataryprincess

A lot of people say this smells like strawberry milk but they couldn't be more wrong, at first spray the perfume on paper is very floral with strong hints of those tangerine and orange notes. After about 15 minutes on my skin it changes to be more powdery, and after about an hour it smells more like a subtle strawberry milkshake floral powdery scent. WAY more on the floral side than the gourmand side, i think it smells much better after sitting on my skin and I didn't notice any sour or dry notes. This perfume is a fruiter and cheaper version of Versace bright crystal, and has a lot of the same bright notes however its more nutty and powdery after left on the skin while Bright Crystal is more mature.

saoirsemoon

I know this one is super hyped and maybe overly so, but I enjoy it. The bottle I have is from a fresh batch so I am going to let it macerate. However, to me it’s a super pleasant fruity, creamy scent. I’ve read a lot of reviews saying it is weak. It is a soft scent, but after spraying on my pyjamas last night I was in a lovely, comforting scent bubble, so I haven’t experienced it to be weak.
Not groundbreaking or crazy out there, just a comforting, pleasant “pink” scent.

Samasama

The most teenage thing since Lizzie McGuire

Schondis

It's pretty but so underwhelming... I don't get any gourmand notes and it doesn't last either🤷 not strong at all.

faithy22

It smells very similar to Katy Perry’s meow the pink one, however Katy Perry’s perfume smells better than Yara imo. There’s just not a lot happening. It also smells like the Batiste tropical and coconut dry shampoo but not on a good way - in a really powdery way. The dry down also smells like straight body odour idk what it is 😭Would not order a full size.

B4bynel

Smells exactly like a fruity hair conditioner. It smells sweet & a little bit like baby powder. It’s your typical pretty girl fragrance.

AuraAngelMuse

Yara is for the girlies who love super strong, super sweet fragrances. She's a beast. For me, Yara smells very similar to Katy Perry Meow(or Mad Love cause it smells very similar) and Pink Chiffon from Bath and Body Works. I see someone voted for Bodycology Sweet Love, which is basically a dupe for Pink Chiffon, so I'm glad someone else gets that too. It's like strawberry/tangerine/pineapple, vanilla and whipped cream. Ever so slight coconut vibes. I see some people say it's powdery but I don't get powder. I get more of a creamy, lactonic vibe. I get a weird metallic smell in this as well, and I have no idea what it could be. It's the only thing that dims my love for this scent a little bit. I get the same metallic note in Donna Born in Roma so maybe it's a similar base note or floral? Not sure. It doesn't ruin Yara for me so I'm okay with it.

I also just recently got Qissa Pink because of the tiktok hype. For me it smells exactly like Yara and it's not as strong or long lasting. If you already have and love Yara and it's performance, I really don't think you would need or want Qissa Pink. I don't see a page for QP on Fragrantica so I figured I'd leave a mini review here.

Blindbuyqueen

Tiktok girls in 7 days you will begin to cough cuz what is this?
It's not bad but the hype is criminal, very inoffensive powdery smells almost like the Johnson pink lotion ..I'm not mad at it but damn.

MirnaElgebaly

Smells exactly like cactus blossom from bath and body works..very nice fragrance

belladonnaofsadness

Don't even remotely get "strawberry milkshake" from this, it smells more like a fruit scented lotion. When it gets to the armpit of summer I'll probably enjoy this more, it just feels like something that's made to be worn when you're having fun at moments you're actively aware you'll be nostalgic for years later. It sits VERY close to the skin for me with OK longevity (around 5 hours). I'll be perfectly content to use the small bottle I got of it for this summer as it's very friendly and approachable, but I do think this is the least impressive of the viral Middle Eastern scents.

KowltheOwl

I sniffed Teriaq and Yara today. They aren't the same fragrance but overall had a very similar vibe to my nose.

Both were really sweet, synthetic, hard to distinguish specific notes and had a strange, metallic smell to my nose.

These are the first I have sniffed from Lattafa so not sure if that is the overall house DNA but I wasn't impressed.

Teriaq is the better of the two but I don't find it similar to La Belle.

Fifi3131

Sweet and creamy With an average sillage and longevity beautiful scent for a year around I think it's suitable for girls under age _20s 😍

Powerfulpatchouli

You’re in junior high in class eating Allen’s strawberries and cream lollies, hoping not to get caught. Dries down to a lotion scent. Makes clothes smell freshly laundered.

ambervxyjul

This was a bit too overhyped. It’s a fruity creamy tropical scent but leans very bathroom air freshener to me. It actually smells like those Hawaiian scented air freshener pods. I couldn’t stand it! The longevity is also terrible!

The new blush elixir by Carolina H kinda smells like a better more refined elegant version of this. It’s what I wish Yara smelled like.

Shauneezy

This is sweet powdery fragrance. I don’t smell any strawberries but it’s a pretty safe blind buy. It’s almost too sweet for me I wish it had more depth but it does smell good and others like it as well.

Usernotknown7

Guysss omg this is so overhyped honestly , I thought it would have such a unique smell but it literally smells 90% like velvet petals by Victoria secret , literally put them side to side and see ,it’s not bad at all , it’s very girly , powdery and soft scent , but I swear this had been so overhyped , also snowflakes and cashmere by bath and body works smells like this also 70% , but idk why people r not talking about the velvet petals similarity !!

Loliky

Blondie1011

Love Yara! It was love at first sniff. As some have mentioned, it’s nothing groundbreaking but it’s so “pretty pink girl”. I feel so pretty wearing this and I just want everyone to smell me but that’s where it falls short, it just doesn’t project on my skin. It’s a intimate, clean, berry, powdery & milky fragrance. Great price for the size, beautiful & sturdy packaging, addictive scent. Heart eyes for Yara 9/10

Pinchofsalt

For me, this perfume is not the kind of perfume you fall in love with, more like you get used to it and it grows on you. It does the job, it’s a simple fragrance, a good quality for the price paid (literally, 4€ for a 50ml bottle is crazy compared to the quality), it has depth and does not smell too synthetic.

Personally I had to let the fragrance sit on me for a day before deciding whether I like it or not (I had 2 friends that instantly ordered it after trying mine though). The opening is very sweet, you can smell the gourmand and fruity accords at first, and definitely a hint of orchids, it’s only towards the end when the fragrance sits for a couple hours that you can smell vanilla and musc.

Although I don’t understand the hype behind this fragrance, I can still say that for the price paid, it’s an excellent deal. For those casual days out in the spring.

jadepo21

I truly like this, and it would be a love if I got the amazing longevity some do. For me, it’s gone within about a couple of hours. But while it’s there, it is stunning. I do get the milky fruit vibes some suggest make it like a strawberry milkshake, but there is far too much musk for that analogy to sit well with me. It’s not just cloying sweetness. There is more depth and character than that.

colorblindlove

I got the 50 ml size on amazon after seeing all the tiktok videos and reviews on here about this scent and honestly this is way overhyped. It smells like a fruity body spray and the lasting power is like a body spray too. I’m so disappointed but im glad I didnt buy the full size bottle! I swear I just sprayed it on my wrist 5 mins ago & I cant even smell it 🙄

gretasbrie

To my nose, Yara 100% lives up to the hype. If you like vanilla gourmands this one will provide a silky floral vanilla with hints of red berries and musk giving it some depth. I don't get tropical fruits and maybe the red berries is from the gourmand accords note? Honestly this scent reminds me of One Direction Our Moment which makes it very nostalgic and girly for me, not a dupe just reminiscent though so don't quote me on that. I got this in the smaller size to test along with a few others but once I have run through the 50 ml I will be ordering the full size for an easy everyday scent that is very feminine and uplifting.

Update: I brought this on vacation with me and I found it really nice in the warmer weather. The musk in this scent makes it a bit powdery and I loved it for days I wanted something a bit more simple than the more tropical scents I brought. I love mixing this one with Lait De Coco from my collection as well as with Qaed al Fursan Unlimited. Possibly not for everyone but for the price worth trying.

jjluvsm9

I have both the perfume and body spray. It’s good fun, I rlly like Yara. Don’t expect to be mind blown, but it’s a solid cheapie for days where you just want to smell pretty and inoffensive. I don’t get much strawberry or even gourmand vibes, it’s more of a sweet soft vanilla smell with some vague fruitiness. It is a little powdery, but no full on baby powder vibes here. I don’t see how anyone could hate this, it’s very crowd pleasing. It is quite youthful bordering on juvenile though, my 2 year old niece loves this perfume haha but sometimes I wanna smell youthful and sweet and this hits that spot for me. I do recommend it, for the price you really can’t complain and it’s a fun and easy scent :) I personally find it quite uplifting and wear it on days where I’m maybe not feeling my best too!!

roseturay

I got the roll on oil to try because i’m super picky w my scents but OMG THIS SMELLS SO GOOD!!! it’s definitely not a strawberry milkshake scent idk what other ppl r smelling😭 but it’s a really nice sweet fruity floral scent. i’m usually a gourmand girly but the florals in this are really nice! it’s not a grandma type of floral, i think it’s very sweet. the vanilla definitely balances it out but i don’t get a lot of vanilla in it tbh. the vanilla tones it down and makes it super smooth and creamy. like i said, i mainly get fruity floral in it so if ur looking for a gourmand idk if i would go w this. it’s clean and fresh, but not in a shampoo or laundry detergent type of way. the best way to describe is (ironically) like a basket of white cotton sheets with juicy fruits laying on top and light sprinkles of vanilla bean powder (from starbucks) on top. fresh but not soapy if that makes sense😭 kind of sad that it’s not as strong after a while and fades into a skin scent but it makes it good for layering. i’ve heard that qissa pink by paris corner is very similar to yara but stronger and lasts longer. i don’t have qissa to try but i’ll buy it at some point and let yall know. overall tho, i would buy the bigger bottle for sure!
also the oil roll on is on amazon🤞

vanirai

like others have said, it smells pink. i get the tropical fruit (mainly mango), and musk. i don’t get much vanilla but hopefully overtime that develops more. i’m so happy with it as is tho, i don’t need to bother with letting it macerate. it smells like a strawberry mango cheesecake. if you like girly scents and find a good deal somewhere, get it while you can
Edit: dries down really close to the skin, smells almost like cheirosa 62 on me? i’m not sure what it is but the dna feels similar. i also get what some people mean when they say they get sometbing soapy/lotion-y. i think it’s this pineapple note in it that can smell lotiony. yummy and fluffy and girly nonetheless

katjaeinga

Literally no vanilla or musk in this one. Smells like artificial strawberries, almost like those twizzler sticks. Doesn´t smell cheap but doesn´t smell expensive either. Longevity is okay but nothing special. Will not buy again but it was fun trying out.

AnabelParish

It's very much giving strawberries and cream, very yummy but in a wearable mature way. Doesn't project much or fill a room, but nice perfume and affordable.

anjunakerry

I have a modest collection of about 200 fragrances consisting of mainly designer, with about a dozen niche and two celebrity fragrances. My son also has mainly designer but got massively into middle Eastern/Arabic fragrances since I got him khamrah at Christmas, So I purchased several middle Eastern fragrances for myself and ended up giving every single one away to my daughter in law, to heavy, to spicy, to oudy for me.
Except this one. I'll be keeping this one. I get nothing but a touch of orchid with a touch of sweet berry and masses of heliotrope and I'm here for it, Other than white florals being my thing, Heliotrope is a very close second.
I cant wait for it to macerate like the other fragrance head suggested. I wore it to work for the first time today and ended up with 6 compliments from staff within the first hour being there. I'm well known for my perfumes at work and none of the staff believe me when I said this cost me £22. I need to purchase a couple more and let them sit before tiktok hype pushes the price up like it did with khamrah.
The only negative is the longevity, Although I went nose blind pretty quick. I had to reapply about 4 hours later, which I don't mind for the price but I was expecting the same projection and longevity as most Arabic perfume.
I love it so far.

SweetP89

After letting her sit for about 2 months after purchasing, I FINALLY get the hype . Just being honest that first spray was horrible. I wouldn’t say it smelled bad , but there was no dimension to it . I got straight up baby powder and rose and I was so disappointed!! But now baby she a whole
New women . She smells good good . I get the strawberry creamyness ugh I’m low key in love .. please let this one sit for at least a month before you make your final judgement.
SN: fresh vanilla blossoms from BBW pairs very well

pineapplepoptart

Strawberry? Pink? It Girl? What???
This smells like a truckstop handsoap.
I'm Sorry.... WHAT? LOL.

Missperfume1

disappointed, nothing special.

PKSMKE

When it was first released someone described it as smelling like a strawberry milkshake. I think that description stuck because it was an easy shortcut for the fluffy fruity scent. But then you had reviewers and YouTubers saying, "where's my strawberry milkshake?!?!" The problem with describing Yara as a strawberry milkshake is that it's not as milky or as strawberry dominant as that implies. It is creamy. Some compare it to the creaminess of a body lotion. And the fruit notes lean more toward tropical, with a touch of coconut. Maybe it should have been described as a tropical smoothie. Yara isn't a sophisticated scent. It's very simple, but that makes it accessible and easy to wear in any situation. I can't imagine a coworker or passerby being offended by this. If you like wearing fragrance every day, there is probably a place for this in your wardrobe.

Ohheytinaaa

It’s giving fluffy strawberry vanilla marshmallow. Definitely an every day/so easy to wear scent. Very girly-youthful scent. Gray price and cute packaging

MistyCat

Okay okay, where to BEGIN?!

So, I've recently come down with a case of bad ol' Covid-19. It took out my sense of smell for a good few days. Now, throughout all this, even when other perfumes did not smell like anything, I've still been able to smell Yara. Almost as perfectly as when I first got it. In all its strawberry milk goodness. THAT'S how you know it's good.

And yes TikTok girlies, it does smell EXACTLY like strawberry milk. It smells like some sort of pink, lactonic yummy strawberry milk candy to be precise. It really does smell exactly like the bottle, very creamy, peachy pink.

Also, another idea I came up with during that time.
Pair Yara with Britney Spear's Fantasy. That was one of the ones that I could also still smell.
You will smell SO GOOD!!! And you won't regret it!

Medenasovicka1

Soft, elegant, inoffensive, intimate scent. It´s like laying on a freshly washed soft pink pillow, I can understand the strawberries and cream too, very subtle tho. It´s definitely giving the colour pink, sweet, powdery, little bit musky, almost not at all. Daytime scent, office friendly, not too strong, girly, flirty but still innocent. On my skin it lasts. Great price, cute bottle, 100 ml, eternal. Definitely a safe blind buy for me:)

Carbochrome

honestly dissapointed, it smells like any other strawberry perfume, its like plain yogurt

Ceila88

Its like drowing in a sea of strawberry milk

bellaisafraghead

opening is like devotion by d&g which is a scent i’m not a fan of, but the dry down like an hour later is pretty good and sdj 62 esq(fruity, sweet,a bit creamy)

Dani D-va

I finally bought into the hype and blind bought since I found a great deal online and I wasn’t a huge risk.
I didn’t get any tropical fruits or gourmand accord. First thing I smell is florals and sandalwood. Once it dried down it got sweeter and more powdery but the sandalwood is still too prominent for my liking.
Maybe it just needs to macerate but the wood is almost taking away some of its femininity. I’m going to let it sit for a while and update. Upon first impression, I like it but the woody note is too strong and taking away from the otherwise delicious sweetness of the fragrance.

Esmeeparfume

To me it smells like soap with a very faint smell of sigarettes. Unfortunately no strawberry milkshake :(

Zethre

Meh
Fruity sweet shampoo scent

BellicoseHoney

A very pretty soft and fruity floral on me. I really smell the tangerine and tropical accords with just a hint of floral. It sort of smells like a grown up version of strawberry pez to my nose. It doesn't last incredibly long but for the price I'm quite happy with it.

Fragnant

Nothing to write home. It smells like a mixture of the pink lotion from nail salons and strawberry starburst. Very artificial leaning on cheap.

Nayliut

Safe blind buy for a low price.
I don't really see how people smell a strawberry milkshake here.
A lot of vanilla and maybe some florals. The scent is a bit cheap, but not too bad.

Sweet_Candyy

This perfume did not smell good at all. It smells like an air freshener you get at your local grocery store. Very cheap smelling with too many notes accompanied with some powder. Very weird and synthetic. I highly doubt men would compliment any woman wearing this.

Shellilala

Reading reviews just shows that everybody smells things different and chemistry mixes with chemistry differently . I smell NO lactonic . I wouldn't be able to wear it . Not sure why people want to wear "milk" . No milk shake. DEF not strawberries or grapes. However, heliotrope CAN smell like strawberries or grapes to some people . I personally don't smell that . Someone else mentioned it smelled like Sol de Janeiro . The only similarity to me is the sandlwood . To me the Sol smells cheap and metallic . Saying all that , I REALLY like the Yara . I don't really like perfumes and I wore the same scent for like 25 years . A bottle would last several years and I ALWAYS got compliments by men and women . They quit making and I didnt know and now bottles are selling on ebay for up to $450.00 . So , time for a new scent . Of course I cant find ANYTHING like it yet .The YARA changes for me . At first its sweet and trailing for about an hour THEN it turns into a powdery sandlewood with orchid and a little vanilla and musk . Smells LOVELY on my skin. It also smells expensive . I can't recommend or abjure, because scents appear to be very personal only tell you what I think . I will probably buy this again if I can't find what I'm looking for .

Itcannotalwaysbenight

All jokes aside- this is a magnet for straight men. It's simple and feminine. Not mind-blowing, just straight to the point sweet florals+vanilla. You will get compliments wearing this.

There seems to be a lot of groupthink going on with Yara. There's no strawberry at all, nor milkiness. It is however sugary and candy like. It is a safe blind buy if you like feminine, sweet fragrances. I would agree with others that this scent gets better over time, you notice the difference in just a few weeks after unboxing.

I'd also add that Yara is probably the "best bang for your buck" in the fragrance world. If you were to do a blind smell test, I doubt anyone would guess that this is a $30 perfume, especially on the dry down when the vanilla and sandalwood settle in. My other half said they preferred this over Delina which blew my mind.

Lastly, the bottle is so cheesy, I hate it next to my niche collection... I may eventually decant it into another glass bottle.

tbhunter

Sweet & youthful like said before. Something about this reminds me of something I can't quite put my finger on. It's not unique by any means, but it is very wearable. It's feminine and will not be offensive, most people will like it. I don't agree with the strawberry or milkshake references, doesn't smell like that to me. It's not "memorable", but it does smell good and is good for the price. I wear it on days I don't feel like deciding on what to wear, or when I need to wear a safe scent but still smell good. I always get compliments when I wear this.

JamieSmells

This smells like Sol De Jainero with some powdery note. I sort of get a faint strawberry milky note, but nothing loud that screams "milkshake". Its not bad for the price but honestly I think this was another hyped up fragrance, I prefer Casablanca from Swiss Arabian over this one to be quite honest. I would wear this only during the day because at night you want something that stands out and this does not.

Blossomlove

Ladies, try wearing this to bed. It's such a great bedtime scent. When you want a mild, soothing, comforting scent-this really hits the spot. It has this cooling effect and the softness of it is relaxing, as well. Since I've been doing this I love it. I was very underwhelmed by it when I got it and I felt it smelled a bit too soft, girly and youthful for my taste so I didn't get much use out of it till I started doing this. I do get a lactonic strawberry scent from Yara, more similar to the fruity sweetness of strawberry yogurt than a strawberry Sunday. It also maintains the same fragrance throughout it's life span so as it smells out of the aperture is how it is the whole time I can smell it. I would say I get a moderate length of wear. You know what it makes me feel like when I spray it before bed, I feel like I just took a shower and have clean, wet hair and I'm getting into a clean bed with freshly washed sheets. It definitely makes me feel clean and comforted.

Mishmash92

Oh she’s the ultimate “it girl” for sure! She’s the girl at school who is always wearing the latest fashion, make up and hair are on point and she’s popular but kind to everyone. Every guy wants her and every girl wants to be her!

But seriously, yara is a fruity milkshake. Delicious yet clean. You could wear this anytime, anywhere and any season.

Longevity isn’t great though and you do need to overspray but for the price, I don’t personally mind.

MaxieF

If you're trying to decide between yara and Qissa pink I would choose Yara. Some reviewers on YouTube say qissa is longer lasting and that is simply not true. Qissa has a bit more of a detergent thing and lacks that lotiony coconut thing that's going on in Yara. They are about 95% similar but Yara just lasts twice as long and projects. Qissa has a bit more strawberry in the opening but it's really only for like 10 minutes. Yara is better.

Sarahkhan007

One of my favourite scent for everyday use.
I do get compliments on it too, good sillage, lasts 5-6 hours on me. Fresh gourmand vanilla scent. I find this close to Sol de janerio 62 mist

Happylovejoy

While I can’t say that Yara smells like Glossier You, they do share a similar warm, clean, tart and powdery introduction. Yara reminds me of bright, clean Egyptian musk, crisp cold grapes and fresh florals mixed with whipped cream. As it stays on the skin, it becomes warmer, creamier, and powder-soft. I wear Yara just for me. Whether others around me like it or not, isn’t important. I will happily be inconsiderate to others by wearing Yara because to me, it smells so amazing. It’s mood-lifting somehow and I’m excited to wear it on hot days because she’s a cool one.

GothyPanda

At first there is this really pleasant burst of fruit. The dry down however is diffternt. I agree with other descriptions of the dry down smelling like shampoo, dry shampoo, and deodorant. So it’s not special that way. To add to the descriptions, it smells like the Yankee Candle store if you spray too much. Why is everyone going crazy for this scent? Maybe I’ll love it more in the spring time. It is a safe buy for the price point.

artsyellie

I think I'm extremely extremely lucky, because Yara works on me!
Mind you, I let it sit with the cap off for a month, because when I got it initially it was so bad, very strange and artificial, but I decided to give it a chance.

So in regards of the scent - I find it fluffy, vanillic, lactonic, fruity and delightful. I don't get strawberry (which is good for me, as I severely struggle with that note).
It lasts ok, 6-7ish hours.
I have worn it only at home, but I might wear it outside and see how it behaves.
I think it's great for the price and very fun. I recommend it for people who love sweet, but light fruity perfumes.

Zerana

I don't really understand the hype around this perfume, it has a synthetic strawberry scent with marshmallow and some hints of coconut. The price was okay so I blind bought it, I rarely use it though.

bathroomgraffiti

a no brainer girly girl scent <3

aniton

Yara is subtle and quite pretty. It is inoffensive, creamy and feminine scent, great value as it is well blended and it doesn't smell cheap. Just cozy and pleasant, as told by many others - a girly girl fragrance.

jjosephine

Love this, i don't agree with the reviews saying it smells like strawberry milkshake. To me it is more tropical (which explains the notes), it dries down to this beautiful vanilla. It's a great everyday wear, also the price is amazing.

dantar

Absolute creamy goodness. I don’t know why people keep saying strawberry milk bc thats not it at all, it’s more like a berry froyo/ ice cream situation. I don’t know what it is but it just smells cold??? Literally the perfect summer scent for girly girls.

toosimilar

Could be a great bug spray with such wonderful powdery facets of orchid , strawberry and vanilla!
Mmmm, delicious ;) But seriously - cheap, disgusting and tasteless.
Please, don't overspray this if you are going out to some crowded place.

Sleekdecadence

Maybe I should give it more time to macerate but this fragrance gives nothing to me. It definietly has longevity and sillage, because people compliment it on me even at the end of the day but i can't feel it at all.
Maybe I become anosmic to it but I am not able to remember the smell of it. As soon as I spray it I "forget" the smell immediately. it's so hollow. So strange..
I find it too simple even to remember that.
I really want to like it, perhaps time will help...

Pari88

The is strawberry milk that dries down to a lovely strawberry scented fluffy soapy powder. It is beautiful, feminine and cosy and I have never smelled anything like it.

It definitely smells pink, probably the pinkest perfume I’ve ever smelled.

There are many that claim to be pink but are actually hot pink or magenta.

This is truly a baby pink fragrance.

Great for casual use and women of any age, a very innocent and maternal scent. Coquette but not necessarily just juvenile.
It’s a fluffy feminine scent for girls and older women alike.

Longevity is 8+hours on my skin, and sillage is honestly really really good , at least an arms length-many people around you will smell it and compliment it. The strange thing is when you sniff your wrist the powder can be a little dominant but when you smell it around yourself it goes back to the strawberry milky creamy slightly soapy smell.

Lovely and affordable fragrance. Highly recommend

Fluffy, sweet, nurturing, loving, milky, powdery, coquette, maternal, ultra feminine, casual, sleep, intimate

Update-the dry down is very reminiscent of cerruti 1881

Vickstar11

I liked the smell of this - to me when it settles on my skin it reminds me very much of the Jo malone Scarlett
Poppy. I bought for 19 pounds (uk) and for that price it's a decent lasting perfume.

andie_x

Upon first smell it smells like diapers. Or a baby that vomited on itself and then was cleaned with scented baby wipes.

I will let it sit and see if it gets better, glad I only got a decant and not a full bottle.

citra

When I first got Yara, I thought it smelled bad and cheap. But I let it sit for around a month, and it smells so good now! It does smell like sweet strawberry milkshake to me. It's soft, fluffy, creamy, and a bit powdery. It has to be sprayed on skin. On clothes, it doesn't smell good, but on skin it's beautiful.

Tara Fiouzi

Simply beautiful! Yara smells like openning a bag of marshmallows and getting a whiff of all the mashmallows. Sweet powdery vanilla heaven!
I also smell a bit of tropical flowers and fruits which gives some depth to the marshmallow note. If you love very sweet vanilla powdery scents you will most probably love this!

Angel scents

This is so much more Velvet Petals than sol de jenairo or sunset glow b&bw.and it's lovely, soft, pretty, feminine! Great!

Charli3

it’s a slightly better Katy Perry Mad Love, so I absolutely adore it. Btw for those who find the bottle ugly (like me) there’s a 50ml bottle that’s the same juice, in a normal nice looking glass bottle and is usually the exact half price of the 100ml ;)

Jnspeas1

Bought into the hype early last year. Reminded me of Pepe Jeans for Her which is $20 and has a MUCH prettier bottle. I don't use that one as it is (I just keep it for the bottle), so I saw no reason for this to remain in my collection. I'm sure others enjoy this but a very hard pass for me.

IkaIkuw

Sweet, dry and powdery fruits. This is strong stuff, two sprays are enough, I did six and it's a good thing I'm working remote because this would be all over the office. I don't thing it's safe to wear in the public, as it could give some people headaches. There's an uderlying scent of vanilla pudding, especially from the distance and on clothes. I like my perfume very sweet and love vanilla pudding, so it's an easy like, but a decant is enough, I don't need a full bottle of this (especially that it's only available as 100 ml).

EDIT: it's two weeks later and I've already finished my decant despite having other perfumes to wear. So I guess I do need a full bottle and maybe a backup one.

flaminhothoneybuns

i got the 50ml version bcuz it's so much cheaper?? anyways, it didn't smell like how i'd expect it to, to me it smells feminine, powdery? pink,.. idk. anyways it reminds me SO much of velvet petals by victoria secret and i said that velvet petals smells like a segc grandma... go get it though, it's a safe blind buy (imo)

carameg0727

This is very sweet. I would have liked it better if it had more of a woody note to anchor it down. It just projects sweet, synthetic, baby doll powder on me. I woudn't re-purchase.

Ljena777

Weak, synthetic and way too powdery and sweet. It was a blind buy which taught me a lesson.

jansiri

I didn't have very high expectations with this one smelling it right out of the bottle but let me tell you that it completely transforms on the skin. Its creamy gourmand berry dessert vibes with a hint of florals in the background. Honestly it is really hard to describe. So comforting and anyone can where this. Totally blind buy worthy.

SafaNeedsPerfumesASAP

I got this today and when i first sprayed it it smelled like pure alcohol, i let it dry and when I smelled it, it just smelled like those wet wipes and the musk just doesn't fit in, thats just me tho but is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY YES its stayed on my skin for 5 hours and im sure you can get a lot of compliments

Queen_esther

This is almost spot on to ariana mod blush. Practically the same.

Chrisandra

I never care about hypes, Tik Tok or YT reviewers who push perfumes they receive for free.
I won't bother with the Yara description because most of the reviews below got it right: very sweet, fruity, creamy, vanillic.
So I tried Yara today about 7 hours ago, and it's still there on my right inner wrist, and quite noticeably.
The other 3 frags I tried at the same Arabic perfume counter are long gone.
Tacky bottle though.
Case closed ;)

toxictorrent

If you love Victoria's Secret Velvet Petals mist, you will enjoy this. I get the same creamy florals but Yara is a little bit fresher, probably because of the fruity notes in it. It does NOT smell like strawberry candy but it smells like fresh, creamy mild florals.

(Go for Qissa Pink if you want that tropical strawberry drink/candy vibe)

Parfumesa

Will repurchase again this perfume , it’s girly, sweet and kind of milky but not a bad milk rather a strawberry milkshake . It’s creamy and powdery I like it a lot 🫶.

kijonnaw04

Received many compliments with this perfume and was asked what I was wearing many times. I would def recommend, I was not a fan at first because of the strong alcohol smell but the dry down is beautiful. 8/10

strawberryelfbar

I was excited to get this in the mail but I was so disappointed. I bought it because people keep saying that it smells like strawberries, or strawberry milkshake. I was so disappointed on the first spray because I didn't get strawberry at all, just pineapple and baby powder! So I waited for it to dry down just in case some vanilla or strawberry would come through, but only the pineapple and baby powder was all I could smell. If I could describe this perfume it would be pineapples dipped in baby powder. I hate it. The longevity is good though. I sprayed it on my wrist before bed and when I woke up I could still smell it.

Jezeleah

Cheap, tacky bottle. Cheap sweet scent with poor longevity and sillage. I actually prefer this to many of the Arabic dupe houses that are loud, obnoxious, screechy and screaming for attention. I’m totally over the Middle Eastern perfume trend, because what’s trending are the cheaper fragrances that are sometimes dupes, sometimes original, but always devoid of elegance.
This just smells like canned fruit, the kind with fructose added. Hard pass.

irlfireprincess

I put this on my Christmas list this year after hearing good things for a while, and I’m glad I did! The first time I sprayed I wasn’t impressed… I could barely smell anything. But I wore it again today after letting it sit for a week or two and now I love it. It reminds me of a mixed fruit smoothie with milk or a mixed fruit milkshake, but not too heavy. Like I get creamy fruits. It’s actually one of the first fragrances I’ve tried that actually smells lactonic/creamy to my nose… usually those kinds of notes just register as sweet/vanilla or are completely undetectable to my nose. There might be strawberry in it but I smell tropical fruits also, definitely mango, maybe a bit of pineapple, and some sweet orange. It definitely strikes me as a scent that would shine in warm weather the most… I’ll be wearing this often when spring hits!

EDIT: this has lasted almost a full day on me! Put it on at 4 pm yesterday and still smell a faint whiff of pineapple and powder at 2 pm today!

neomeii

Was the hype worth it?

Yes, I fell for the hype and, surprisingly I don’t regret it!
First of all the opening just consists of pure alcohol, but don’t let that fool you because the dry down is so amazing and girly. The dry down for me was just this beautiful gourmand vanilla and almost caramel scent. I can’t even smell the other notes on my skin, and I’m honestly not disappointed. The only thing I hate is that it doesn’t really last long, but apart from that it’s amazing! Get it if you like gourmand scents:) overall I’d give it a 7/10 !

eau de dosa

Too sweet and headache inducing. Sunset Glow by BBW smells better and has more structure than this.

Perfumeaddict84

Smells like cheap lotion no thanks!

mea194

After hearing the rave about it online I had to check this one out! One of the things I heard the most about was how it was so good yet inexpensive. When I first put it on it was quite a strong fruity sweet scent. However, one that I don’t think would offend anyone. To be honest though there is not a of complexity with it. It is a perfume that is straight up sweet and tropical and has lasted on my skin for some time. I haven’t really noticed too much of a different with the dry down. It is a bit too artificially sweet for me and doesn’t really stand out on my skin. It’s not for me but I am glad I got to try it!

TonkaBean546

A very sweet and nice perfume for great value. I recommend it for spring days and especially for younger women just starting out with fragrances (of course everyone can wear whatever they want). It just reminds me of a cute pink summer dress

smcintosh

This was one of the first perfumes that started my collection. She's sweet, she's beautiful, and she lasts for hours.

Glyceryl

I know this isn’t a very expensive fragrance as is, but it is the cheapest smelling perfume I’ve ever smelled. This stuff is garbage.

This smells like play-doh, plastic and baby powder. Absolutely FOUL. If you wanna spend $30 on a girly, long lasting perfume pick one from Paris Hiltons line.

Hayaad

I received this lovely perfume as a gift today. It is a sweet and powdery perfume. I smelled the heliotrope, violet, strawberry and labdanum or a kind of amber notes. In addition to the citrus opening and vanilla dry down. It is a relaxing and cosy perfume.

Tasherapd

I love this scent. It reminds me of a strawberry cream saver.

Peachyportia

A blind buy because of Tik Tok. I told myself not to bother with it because Tik Tok is always wrong when it comes to fragrance. This is a sweet, powdery scent. It smells clean like body wash. It's not overtly sweet to me but I do like sweet fragrances. It's a nice scent! If you want something that you can put on after showering to smell clean, or if you want something generally pleasant to wear to work I would say this is a cheap option. The bottle is really pretty!

miaaa

I was very skeptical about buying this after reading some reviews since I’m VERY sensitive to certain fragrances, but I bought it anyway and it smells so beautiful! It smells similar to sunset glow by bath and body works but better! It’s very creamy and powdery. It smells almost like lotion. I’m not getting strawberry milkshake but it does smell fruity and creamy. It’s way more creamy and powdery than fruity. I am getting hints of florals. I love sweet scents but I was expecting it to be sweeter but it smells super pretty still. It’s really not as sweet on me as some of the reviews are saying, but fragrance smells different on everyone. I feel like it’s a safe blind buy and I would recommend for sure!

DJoy27

Batiste tropical dry shampoo.

Shukky

this smells like if you stood in front of a fan and had it blow icing sugar, cotton candy powder and strawberry milk powder right in your face exactly in that order. very juvenile and very sweet, which is hard for me to admit as I'm a gourmand lover who loves her perfumes SWEET. but this is a lot, even for me. longevity is mediocre, which you can't make up for by overspraying as it get's entirely too powdery and cloying.
i would only recommend this if you need a cheap sweet cornerstone in your collection to layer with and balance out stronger notes or liven up a perfume, or you have a 13-15 year old in your life who loves tiktok and wears VS body sprays, she'd probably appreciate a giant pink thing to embellish her room! otherwise this perfume doesn't have a leg to stand on in any way.

LivScott64

I fell for the Tiktok/internet hype and purchased this one this week. Based on what I had heard, I was expecting a fruity, strawberries and cream type of scent, with some gourmand vanilla or marshmallow notes. Sadly, that isn't what I received. On me, this is such a powder bomb. There is some sweetness, hints of vanilla or something fruity, but mainly just powder, which I usually really dislike in fragrances. Yara is okay, but likely not something I would go after in the future. The lasting power is awful on me, I sprayed 6 or so times on clean, moisturized skin less than a half hour ago, and it is currently sitting very close to the skin, barely detectable. I definitely didn't get the strong overpowering scent experience some people have described. I am so bummed that I don't love this one, but could see myself using it in the future in some layering combos. I've heard some people say it gets better if you let it macerate, so I'm going to try that and see what happens!

Edit: I let it macerate for almost 2 months. It still smells like a stale baby wipe to me. I'll be selling mine, unfortunately.

Eau de Claire

This is very soft baby powder, not gourmand, not that sweet, your skin but better scent.
Just very soft, very mild sillage, doesn't last longer than an hour. Smells like a new born baby, talc powder and pink softness.
Lovely, just not for me... I like my perfume to be present and a bit louder.

ChrysTrails

This is very nice. Not remarkable or stunning. Simply nice! It’s soft, sweet, inoffensive, and great for every day wear. All notes are very subtle. At the forefront I detect fluffy, slightly lactonic strawberry. For the price, it’s a win!

riri92000

I finally found this in a store and was so dissapointed :(
No candy buy just strong sweet florals. It is very strong but smells like jasmine or urine. No fruits at all :( this is not a gourmand to me!

Wajjd

The perfume mostly smells like flowers and powder, without any vanilla scent. It reminds me of Ari by Ariana Grande. It's a sweet perfume that feels common, like something I've smelled before.

vanillachocolatelover

I was expecting it to smell more like a gourmand vanilla. It smells very powdery, floral, and just a little musky. Really sweet and feminine scent, gives a delicate, innocent vibe. I was hoping for more vanilla, but I still like it nevertheless. I don't get where all the reviews get the strawberry milkshake smell from though. I do love the packaging by the way, it's girly and cute.

Overall, good for the price but don't expect something life-changing. I wouldn't wear this for a fancy dinner date but it's a great everyday scent and a steal for the price. Would layer this with a vanilla spray or lotion like the EOS vanilla cashmere.

Update: After I let it macerate in a dark drawer, I can smell the vanilla and marshmallow now and I like it a lot more. It's very sweet and pleasant.

Lisanns

Not sure if all of the hype made me have too high expectations for this - I really don’t understand what made this fragrance so popular. It’s an average girly sweet scent but very generic and smells like its price point. This scent doesn’t affect me enough to make me disappointed, just indifferent.

gia1225

This reminda me of a scent from my teens, I just can’t put my finger on what it is. Super comforting and cozy gourmand skin scent, love this!

Anðela

Smells like baby wipes but in a good way i really like it😽

nihmhie

Unsure on this one! At first, it's not my favourite smell. The nozzle smells quite sharp, a little fruity, and a little.... Perfume-y ? Like that generic 'perfume' smell, if you get me. Not very sweet at all. Smells similarly for the first while applied to my skin. After a bit, an interesting, musky, almost oud scent starts happening. It's quite odd! I'm sitting there and then I'm like "What is that smell?"..... It's me lol ! Not bad, but just different. But then, after it's dried down for a few hours, it becomes this delicious, intoxicating Lucky Charms marshmallows scent. It's extremely light, I have to very intentionally smell my wrists or get a lucky whiff of it to even notice it at all. But man ! I wish this part was stronger because it is deliiiicious ! I disagree that it smells like strawberries / fruit, conditioner, or florals. Just straight up Lucky Charm marshmallows. Do with that what you will lol

CreamSunshine

The “tropical notes” of this fragrance pull very pineapple-coconut on my skin, so Yara ends up smelling like I’m wearing scented sunscreen, or drinking a pina colada. The scent is perfectly tolerable, but not what I personally want to smell like.

sweetcherie23

I do not LOVE this fragrance but I do like it. Much more powdery and floral notes than there was to be vanilla or cotton candy which people said they were getting...not too sure from where? But it is a generic feminine fragrance for sure and very affordable!

yussssiiii

I liked it after the first few sniffs, but after two days it started smelling like very cheap perfume. I gave it away very quickly couldn't stand it.
but it's fine for the price. nothing special.

hevke

literally smells like sweetened, slight floral and vanilla baby powder lol i love it

Prplmnkynvsn

To me, this perfume is a very nice, easy warmer day scent. It sits close to the skin but I still get whifs of it throughout the day when I spray on my clothes. I find it to be a beautiful combination of Ariana Grande Cloud pink and mod vanilla. It has the fruity notes of Cloud pink and the muskiness of mod vanilla.

joegoldberg56

reminds me of the turning of march into spring. girly, sweet, and soft. incredibly long lasting, a perfect easy fragrance for layering and for days where you just want to be perceived as something sweet and lovely.

lucasthiring

I love this perfume! I got it as a Christmas present today and I love it so much! It smells very fruity peachy with sweet cream and a little vanilla. But definitely more fruity than gourmand

emokus

This perfume was very disappointing for me. From the hype and the reviews i thought it’s a creamy gourmand scent with strawberry but when i smelled it my first thought was deodorant:(

AinoKaroliina

This is the first Arabian perfume I have ever owned or even tried. I bought this because of the hype around it. Also this was affordable and I was curious.

First of all the bottle is cool, it's so different and sleek-looking and it's pink of course!

opening is a bit off-putting to me, it's like a mild ylang-ylang type of scent. Thankfully it doesn't last long at all and after a few seconds the scent turns into this lovely sweet and creamy feminine scent.

Not sharp or harsh in any way. This is beautifully smooth and soft. I can't name any spesific floral or fruit note that this smells like, all I know is that there's definitely vanilla present and this is yummy!

Yes this is sweet and girly, but not in an obnoxious loud or juvenile way.

I hear a lot of people compare this to Pepe Jeans Life is Now. I have both of these fragrances and they do have a clear similarity, but I think I prefer Yara. Yara is smoother. With the Pepe Jeans fragrance the mandarin orange note is slightly more present, though it's first and foremost a marshmallow heavy scent.

This is not a very complex or surprising concoction or a "beast performer", but the price is great, the bottle is nice and the scent is quite enjoyable!

o0n3t

i think the vanilla + fruit medley + powdery notes come thru the most, especially those last two in fact. the powdery-ness with the fruit ended up giving me a strawberries and cream kind of smell but like, if the strawberries had been reduced down with a slight hint of pineapple or some other tropical and acidic fruit. it also kind of gave strawberry milk at first whiff...if that's a less confusing point of reference for what this is like. i think if u like gourmand smells this one is a cute and somewhat of a different one to try, just because of how powdery it is (especially on my skin?). i will say the sillage is really strong (i do prefer lighter fragrances so that could be a preference thing) but yea! also gorgeous packaging + bottle.

lagutfm

ofcccc u tiktok girlies lied again! <3
it's not ,,super sweet candy marshmallow cotton dream perfect girly scent " but a cheap candy body wash. It smells nice but so BORING
it's so hyped and for what?? I feel like every 2 $ body mist on a kids section with Elsa on the package smells like Yara

can be good for layering but lasting power is shit

ventez

A very clean vanilla scent for the daily, would recommend layering it with another vanilla scent though to give it an extra sweet kick. I personally did it with Pink Sugar and it slayed.

Mystères du Château de Dé

I frequently drop by a fragrance shop on the "popular" shopping street and enjoy mingling among the very young shopping for their fragrances. Yara is delicious and priced right so it flies off the shelves. Yara reminds me of a county fair midway on a sunny day. Candies, desserts, soft stuffed animals. Sweet and happy, flirty but still innocent. I see how happy the young ladies are. It speaks to them. And they have good taste!

Under the Lattafa section are the La Rive fragrances and there are some equally great teen scents - for under $10. But the kids don't know them, and Lattafa is hype so it's a valued "brand" they want to buy. The Yara is $25 and no doubt for some of these consumers, that's not a "cheap" commodity.

Glynis49

What can I say. I ordered a small sample not sure I wanted to blind buy a bottle and this is “wow”. It is so fragrant, smooth, strong, powdery and I love it. It’s addictive and I can’t stop smelling my skin. I have ordered 100 ml bottle tonight! My first Middle Eastern perfume and I’m hooked!😁

Yasminalebs

This perfume smells delightful. I love it, it’s one of my favourites at the moment.

It smells really sweet and light.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t last very long or project without several sprays.

SailorMars657

I have all 3 of the Yara collection, including the Original (Pink) , Tous (Orange) and Moi (White). This Original Pink Yara is very youthful, playful and innocent. It is a perfume perfect for a child or teenager. It smells exactly like strawberry plastic/rubbery scented children's dolls and toys. Specifically Barbie's, My little Pony and Strawberry Short Cake dolls from the 80's/90's generation. This is a very nostalgic and comforting fragrance for those who grew up during this time and played with these toys. Do I love this scent? Yes! Would I wear it out of the house or buy it again? No! Silage, projection and longevity are all excellent as usual for this perfume from the Lataffa Brand of Fragrances. In my opinion "Yara Tous (Orange) bottle is the only one worth having and re buying from the Yara line.

tafah

I absolutely hated it at first and it made me feel nauseous, but after leaving it on my shelves for a month, it smells incredible! It's extremely powdery but I can't smell the vanilla at all. I have seen people saying it smells like a strawberry milkshake, but it smells very clean in my opinion, and not really sweet.
Overall, I do like it but wouldn't repurchase it. I'm curious to know what yara moi smells like though.

idealdrugs

almost amber, almost orchid, much less vanilla. powdery, inviting, sweet, and easygoing. i found that a sample i purchased prior to buying the full size was actually a bit more complex and rich, which was a bit disappointing when i did size up. definitely much more amber in the sample as well. i have a feeling i could find a cheap body mist with similar notes, that’s also noticeably stronger. wish it was packing a little more kick but when somebody does smell it on me, i always get complimented!
