July Marks 94 Months Of Continuous U.S. Job Creation [Infographic]

This article is more than 5 years old.

The U.S. is continuing to enjoy a record-breaking streak in job creation with the latest ADP data showing that 219,000 jobs were added in July. That marks the 94th straight month of job growth and beats analysts' expectations of an additional 185,000 new jobs in July. The following infographic provides an overview of seasonally adjusted non-farm job creation using Bureau of Labor Statistics data, with the ADP job numbers added for July.

The current growth in the job market appears unstoppable and the impact of tariffs isn't evident in the most recent data. In fact, practically every single industry is making gains and the information sector was the only one posting a slight decline in July. Medium-sized companies employing 50 to 499 people are the driving force behind the boom in the job market with their payrolls expanding by 119,000. Large and small business are also doing well, adding 48,000 and 52,000 jobs respectively.
