Kate Beckinsale Remains Hospitalized: 'She's Doing Her Best to Take Care of Herself,' Source Says

The actress shared photos of herself in a hospital bed as part of her U.K. Mother's Day post.

Kate Beckinsale is having a hard time.

After the Serendipity actress raised questions by sharing photos of herself in a hospital bed as part of a post celebrating U.K. Mother's Day earlier this week, a source has shared new information with ET about her ongoing health struggles.

"Kate Beckinsale hasn't been doing or feeling well. She was supposed to go to the Vanity Fair Oscars party and had to cancel. She is doing her best to take care of herself, but it's not a great situation."

Beckinsale, 50, shared multiple pictures from her hospital room in an Instagram post dedicated to her mother, Judy Loe, on Monday.

"Happy birthday and UK Mother’s Day this last week to my incredible mother," she captioned the post. "Thank you to those that love us and support us when it’s shit and try to make sure there are some bits that aren’t. And for looking after our dogs when we can’t, and lead us to remember happy things when we can’t . And turn up when we are sick and sit with us. And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love."

"Thank you for loving us, those who do, and for the amazing, kindest Nick, and especially for my mother’s capacity for joy," she continued. "It is so inspiring and beautiful. Happy everything mama. Your fight for joy despite also welcoming tears is the experience of watching a warrior up close. I love you x."

On Wednesday, she posted a photo to her Instagram Story of herself still in the hospital with her cat.

Beckinsale is a mother herself, sharing a 25-year-old daughter, Lily, with her ex, Michael Sheen

Lily made her feature film debut in the 2022 Nicolas Cage-starrer, The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and she shared with ET at the film's premiere how her famous folks had supported her as she followed in their footsteps.

"They have always made it clear that, no matter what workplace I am in, I need to be the most respectful, best version of myself, which I really appreciate," the 25-year-old said. "But, aside from that, they have been fantastic about letting me figure out my own path, with a helping hand a little bit, obviously. It has been a great experience with them as well."
