Those trailers gave a small glimpse of what more this Malice can do like lifting the entire Hyrule castle up in the sky. Also, we got to see some of it chase after a living mouse, hinting that this black-and-magenta gooey substance would have a more aggressive and malicious nature in the upcoming Zelda title.

Fans should expect that it will keep its original purpose as in Breath of Wild. But there would be more like the main villain might use it to control others as it did with Naydra. Also, there is a possibility that there can be sequences where the player might just have to run from this malicious gooey substance.
