Description
The lateral angles are the areas on both sides of the squamous part of occipital bone where the mastoid and lambdoid borders meet. They are blunted in appearance and are each located at an asterion.
The internal surface of each lateral angle of occipital bone consists of a portion of a groove for the transverse sinus.
