Fool To Cry (over a Vindaloo): Johnny Depp and Keith Richards shock diners with surprise visit to a curry house in Epsom

They love to perform on stage together as a musical side project.

And while one is a major Hollywood star and the other an iconic rock star, that didn't stop Johnny Depp and Keith Richards from keeping it real with a visit to a curry house in Epsom, Surrey, on Thursday.

The Hollywood actor, 56, and the Rolling Stones musician, 75, gave fans a shock when they turned up to Indian-Bangladeshi restaurant, Le Raj, with singer/songwriter Ian Hunter, 80, and their entourage.

According to Surrey Comet, the stars' entourage scoped the venue out and checked security at the eatery before announcing who they worked for.

However, business owner Jeffrey Ali insisted that Johnny, Keith and Ian made for pleasant diners.

He told Surrey Comet: 'He was a really lovely guy, the nicest guy in the world and just like any other guests really — laughing and joking, they didn't demand any special attention.'

He added: 'We're quite chuffed to be honest...with someone who doesn't live anywhere near us especially.

'Honestly he's the nicest chap, really respectful to everyone and he went in the kitchen, saying hi to the staff and going out of his way to say thank you to everyone.'

Johnny and Keith have been friends for over two decades, with the Pirates of The Caribbean actor previously admitting that he based the character of Captain Jack Sparrow on the rock 'n' roll star.

And in 2007, the musician joined Johnny behind the camera to play Captain Jack's father, Captain Teague, in At World's End, in 2011 for On Stranger Tides and Dead Men Tell No Tales in 2017.

Johnny is currently awaiting trial for his defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The civil case has been scheduled for February 3 2020 by a Virginia judge, according to The Blast.

Depp accused Heard of defamation over a Washington Post op-ed where the actress wrote about her experience with domestic abuse, an account which Depp claims implied he was the perpetrator.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor contended that the piece was defamatory because it 'depends on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.'

His legal team went on to say how her accounts were 'conclusively refuted by two separate responding police officers, a litany of neutral third-party witnesses, and 87 newly obtained surveillance camera videos.'

Though a court date has been set, there will be a Friday hearing for Heard's motion to dismiss the case.

The judge estimates the case will take about 12 days.

Depp is asking for $50million in damages, alleging the essay negatively affected his career.

Johnny and Amber first met on the set of their film The Rum Diary in 2011.

They were married in 2015 but by May of 2016, Heard filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences.
