Jenna Bush Hager's toddler son Hal is just a few weeks away from his third birthday, and he is already the spitting image of his grandpa, former President George W. Bush.

The Today star, 40, shared heartwarming photos from her family's beach getaway on Monday's show, including a snapshot of Hal — who turns three in August — with his father, Henry Hager.

In the sweet snapshot, Hal is standing on a bench with his arms around his dad. With his sandy blond hair, close-set eyes, and toothy smile, he looks like his maternal grandfather did when he was a little boy.

'He's not a baby anymore,' Bush Hager told her co-host Hoda Kotb of her youngest child and only son. 'He has one little gray tooth.'

Bush Hager and her husband also have two older daughters — Mila, nine, and Poppy, six — who were photographed on the beach together.

'Summer loving,' the mom captioned the image of Poppy looking up at her big sister.

Other pictures from the trip show the former first daughter cuddled up with her husband on a boat and the family sitting together in front of the water.

Bush Hager and her daughters were wearing sundresses while Henry and Hal had on button-up shirts. Everyone was posing for the camera except Hal, who was looking up at his dad while sitting on his lap.

'We had a wonderful vacation. In some ways, we did go with the rhythm of life. I put my phone away,' she told Kotb. 'We had a lot of fun.'

Bush Hager also noted that she dropped Mila off at sleepaway camp in Texas for her second summer in a row, but she didn't share too many details.

'I can't say anything more about it because last year I read a letter, and I got in big trouble,' she explained.

Last July, Bush Hager read homesick Mila's heartbreaking letter from sleepaway camp, where she stayed for a total of three weeks.

'Dear Mom and Dad, I miss you. I wish I could be with you,' she wrote. 'P.S. Daddy, how much longer 'til you pick me up? I miss you too much. I need to stop crying. So goodbye. I miss you terribly, Mom and Dad.'

Bush Hager said at the time the letter reminded her of something she would have written at that age, admitting: 'It broke my heart in a million pieces.

She was so touched by the message that she took a picture of it and sent it to her parents, George W. and Laura Bush.

Bush Hager said her husband was ready to drive to camp — the same one she attended as a child — and get their homesick daughter, but she insisted she was 'fine.'

This year, she shared some details about the summer camp, saying there is no electricity and campers aren't allowed to make phone calls.

'It's hot down there in Texas — 103,' she added, saying it feels like 110 degrees.

Bush Hager also offered up some advice for parents who are sending their kids to sleepaway camp, saying she and Mila came up with a 'symbol' she can give in photos to let her know she is doing OK.

The mom suggested a peace sign and other gestures, but Mila decided she would pose with her hand on her arm if she was having a good time.

Bush Hager said the camp posted a class picture the night before and in it, her daughter was doing the pose they discussed.

'I said, Henry, "I've never been so happy to see a weird sign,"' she recalled.
