You don't have to be a super fan to appreciate Netflix's new live-action adaptation of One Piece. The series has brought the legendary manga and anime to life in a totally new way while also giving old fans so much to look forward to thanks to its accuracy and its pacing. And even if this is your first time jumping into the One Piece world, then you might not actually know just how much the show has already covered in its 8-episode first season, especially since the manga and the anime have been going on for 1000+ chapters and episodes.

Season 1:
The first season of Netflix's One Piece covers the majority of the East Blue Saga, known to be the first saga of both the anime and the manga.
Episode 1 - Romance Dawn
Episode 1 of the live-action series covers half of the Romance Dawn arc which sets off Luffy's adventure.
Monkey D. Luffy, an optimistic young pirate with dreams of finding the One Piece, sets off in search of the loyal crew he needs to navigate the vast oceans. His journey begins when he helps Koby, a deckhand forced into servitude, escape an undesirable situation. While in Shells Town, Luffy meets Roronoa Zoro, a famed pirate hunter, and Nami, a master thief — and the three form a tenuous alliance.

Episode 2 - The Man in the Straw Hat
