Definition of camaraderie: A mutual trust and friendship among people who spend a lot of time together. A spirit of familiarity and trust existing between friends. Synonyms: Companionship, mutual support, friendship….and Camden!

  To me, Camaraderie is synonymous with Camden, so it’s no surprise that Camden was recently listed on Fortune’s Best Places to Work for Camaraderie list. Camden has been described as one big family where employees truly care for one another and create lifelong friendships.

We asked some Camden employees what camaraderie means to them & how they see it play out every day here at Camden...here’s what they had to say!

Chelsea Isaacson: Training Specialist, 3 Years with Camden “To me, camaraderie is not just about hanging out with people from work every now and again and getting along, it is about so much more. Being a trainer, we travel a lot, so when I am in the office, I feel like I have truly missed everyone. Camaraderie at Camden is about finding ways to do things together (besides work) because you want to and you enjoy being around each other and you can be yourself. We have HR lunches and potlucks, nerf wars, and prank each other daily because we love each other. Like my grandpa always said, “If we ain’t pickin’ on ya, we don’t like ya”. That is the deeper meaning of camaraderie here at Camden.”

Lauren Bartz: Contact Center Team Lead, 7 Years with Camden: "It’s not often you get the opportunity to work with people that make you laugh till your crying, allow you to cry on their shoulder or when you have that feeling of emptiness because you’ve been separated due to a “family vacation” I know that’s sounds a bit extreme but when you find such familiarity and trust with your co-worker the distance feels much longer. At Camden our camaraderie is contagious. You’ll find that many of our employees here are more like best friends than co-workers.  For me this is the cherry on top of working at Camden. I’ve created lifelong relationships and have had the opportunity to meet such beautiful gracious people."

  Stephanie Mateo Oribhabor: HR Generalist, 3 Years with Camden: “Sometimes coming to work doesn’t truly feel like work. I feel lucky every day to work alongside people I consider to be my family. We truly care for each other and want the best for one another both personally and professionally. There are no words to describe the love and appreciation I have for each and every one of the people I get to work with. We make sure to pull together when someone needs extra help or support but we also make sure to pull plenty of pranks, celebrate each other and have fun as well. Flying monkey and nerf wars are regular doings around here! Taking part in unique experiences & events together, making memories, and building lasting friendships is what camaraderie at Camden means to me.”
