Cephalotus follicularis "Agnes" Potted

$ 34.99

We have run out of stock for this item.

Cephalotus follicularis is one of the most desired carnivorous plants in cultivation. It is a curious pitcher plant with compact growth and bristly, colorful traps that are seemingly yawning for a bite to eat!  This is a clone we're nicknaming for Agnes, our little greenhouse mascot!  If you've visited the greenhouse you have probably seen this sweet Norfolk terrier romping around the nursery or barking at the door.  You have to admit, she has a strange likeness to a Cephalotus pitcher...

Care Instructions
Sun: Thrives in bright greenhouses or in terrariums under fluorescent lights. They may also do well on very sunny windowsills
Water: Water with distilled or purified water frequently, do not let the pots sit in water for long periods of time but be sure to keep the potting medium moist all the time
Temperature: Daytime temperatures in the 70’s-80’s with a 10-20 degree drop in night temps, can tolerate light frost and we even have one in an outdoor bog that survived a month of temps in the low 20's
Dormancy: none needed
