A TikToker who posted a series of videos imagining how Gen Alpha will eventually mock Gen Z blew up online, prompting more suggestions from viewers about the things the next generation would eventually poke fun at them for.

On October 11, a TikToker who goes by @tyler.benderr posted a video with an on-screen caption that read, "how gen-alpha will make fun of gen-z" alongside a further caption in which she appeared to identify as Gen Z herself, and wrote they were "next on the chopping block."

In the video, which received 2.1 million views, she played the role of a member of Gen Alpha ripping into Gen Z quirks, like their pet names for friends which included "bestie" and "queen," referring to Doja Cat as being "so mother" — a term used to show reverence — and describing things like having a good hair day or being quirky as an "era."

Over 3,400 comments responded to the video, many of which came from self-described Gen Zers who listed further examples they thought the next generation would come at them for.

These included the trope of shaking their hands in front of their mouth while they did a silent scream, their use of the term "delulu," to mean affectionately delusional, and joking about their own immaturity by referring to themselves as "a 23 year old teenage girl" or "literally baby."

"I'm scared of the amount of material they will have," one viewer wrote in a popular comment.

The TikToker posted two more follow-up videos featuring the same character mocking Gen Z, which received over 450,000 views combined, and offered even more examples of specific behaviors Gen Alpha may rinse them for, such as introducing sentences with "because," vaping, and referring to everything as being a type of "core."

Across the comment sections, some self-described millennials wrote they were looking forward to taking a breather from the ribbing, as they'd received their fair share of gentle mocking from Gen Z for their own traits, such as their millennial pause before recording a video, and their struggles with popular TikTok transitions

Generational differences are a big source of discussion on TikTok, as users have previously dissected millennial fashion and their self-deprecating humor. While Gen Z traits have also been made fun of, it's mostly been by older users — although they've recently realized Gen Alpha is quickly catching up.

Some viewers also pointed out millennials will be the ones raising Gen Alpha, which means they'll have front-row seats to the eventual Gen Z mockery when it eventually arrives.
