Just about three months ago, Colin Farrell swapped the 1920s Spanish Revival Los Feliz villa he’s owned for the past 17 years for another 1920s LA abode. But it seems the Oscar nominee hadn’t finished his real estate shopping just yet; according to Dirt, the After Yang actor has also picked up a cabin retreat in Mammoth Lake, a town in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains.

Perched on a slope, the 2,000-square-foot wooden home is snugly tucked into 9,500 square feet of forested land and abuts a protected national forest, miles away from the Hollywood spotlight.

Built in the 1980s, the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom home was recently upgraded and reflects a simple mountain-style aesthetic. Hardwood floors can be found throughout the house, as can vaulted wood-paneled ceilings. The open-floor living space has a sitting area that surrounds a stone fireplace as well as a kitchen, complete with wooden cabinetry and quartz countertops, that flows into a dining area and one of three outdoor patios.

From the patios, one can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding forest and mountaintops. Attached to the primary suite is another patio, accessible via glass sliding doors. The primary suite’s bathroom has a window-facing nook, providing picturesque scenery for anyone making use of its white soaking tub.

Farrell was known as one of Hollywood’s “bad boys” back in the early aughts, whose personal life—including romantic links to stars like Angelina Jolie, Britney Spears, and Elizabeth Taylor—was often the subject of tabloid coverage. He made a triumphant comeback after a stint in rehab, winning critical acclaim in recent years as well as a Golden Globe for his work in last year’s awards season darling The Banshees of Inisherin. He is set to reprise his titular role in the forthcoming HBO Max limited series The Penguin.
