A Chrissy Teigen Nip Slip Happened and the Star Had the Funniest Response

When it comes to sarcasm, Chrissy Teigen is the queen. From clapping back at Internet trolls to not-so-subtly voicing her distaste for Donald Trump, Teigen has mastered the art of shade and sassy comebacks. But making jokes at her own expense is perhaps her best-honed skill of all—a fact gloriously demonstrated by her response to suffering an on-air nip slip at yesterday’s Super Bowl.

The supermodel, in Houston with her husband John Legend, was watching from the stands when the wardrobe malfunction occurred. Teigen had worn a blazer over a sheer black cutout tank, but in the excitement of the game, she seemed to forget just how see-through the top was. As she cheered on her team from the press box, her blazer slipped to the side, revealing her sheer top and everything underneath it. Unfortunately, the cameras focused on Teigen at that exact moment, broadcasting her nip slip to not only everyone at the game but to everyone watching at home. Even worse? Twitter user @chuckupthedusse (nice name, dude) filmed Teigen’s accidental peep show, zoomed in on her nipple, and tweeted the footage for everyone who may have missed the moment while watching (or, in my case, while not watching) the game. Talk about awkward.

While most of us would probably die of embarrassment had we suffered the same fate, Teigen didn’t give one single crap about her impromptu flashing. In fact, the Twitter queen saw it fit to retweet the video to her followers, hilariously writing, “boom goes the dynamite.”

Aside from being a perfect response to what could be a really embarrassing situation, the model’s self-deprecating tweet totally minimizes the newsworthiness of her nip slip. By making a joke at her own expense before anyone else could, Teigen took control of the situation—thereby making it pointless for anyone else to attempt to call her out on it. And that, my friends, is why Teigen is the real winner of this year's Super Bowl.
