Is Kate Middleton stepping down from Royal Duties?
Kate Middleton is not stepping down from her royal duties. Kensington Palace has not released any information whether or not Kate Middleton will be stepping down from her royal duties.
The speculation comes from when the British Army website listed that Princess Kate will inspect soldiers during an engagement at the Horse Guards Parade in London on June 8. The website states “Trooping the Colour reviewed by Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales also includes 250 soldiers from the Foot Guards who will line the processional route along The Mall.” On St. Patrick’s Day in 2023, King Charles named the Princess of Wales as the honorary Colonel of the Irish Guards. However, a day later the website deleted the event.
Though people might think that Kate is shying away from her responsibilities, “Kate’s extremely keen to get back to work,” a source told Us Weekly. “This has been one of the most challenging months for Kate as a royal, and she’s praying the fuss dies down as soon as possible.”
The source continued, “Her mother has been a huge help”—even acting as Kate’s “personal chauffeur and has brought books and magazines for her to read during her convalescence.”
“A few of Kate’s senior staffers haven’t been able to see or speak to her, and they didn’t even know about the surgery until it was announced, so it’s caught them off guard,” the source claims to Us. Kate has just recently started to open up to members of her inner circle about the nature of her operation and recovery process. “Only a few people know what’s really going on, and they’re tight-lipped.”
